Hi, everyone! I haven't posted too much over the course of this pregnancy, but I want to congratulate everyone on all these fantastic birth announcements and stories!
I am enjoying my own "baby moon" with Patrick Bennett, who was born 5-10-06, at 5:19pm, in what can only be called an absolutely perfect birth. Labor began almost immediately after my water broke about 2:45 in the afternoon on a beautiful, sunny day. Arrived at the hospital about an hour later, and Patrick was born after only about 2.5 hours of labor. My husband and his sister, who is expecting her first child in October, were both there, along with my fabulous, fabulous midwife and a nurse. Right after he was born, my midwife gave me the greatest compliment... she thanked me for allowing her to be at my son's birth and told me I "made her feel like a midwife".
My boy was 6lb, 12oz at birth, and is already back up to 6lb, 11oz. He is a nursing champ, just like his big brother!
