Feeling super green...

I don't know if this is my body telling me things are about to get bad or what.

Last night at dinner I could barely eat it and I almost threw up. Now this morning I am feeling the same way. Its always after I eat that I feel the worse. I have been eating lots of soup since that doesn't seem to bug me as bad.

I didn't feel like this at all with my first. I hope this doesn't mean I will be throwing up soon.:Puke (ugg just looking at his puke face I had to run to the bathroom!! I didn't puke but gagged a few times!)

Hope you that it doesn't get worse for you. I have a feeling this pregnancy will be a puke fest for me. Last pg I was 5 lbs below pre pg wieght at 14 wks.
Try to eat small meals frequently I find that helps me.

Yep, with number three ( a January 2006 baby), I gagged constantly.

Even when I raised my voice level to get my teenage students to settle down. What a lovely sight!

"Guys, I need you to quie--------------ech, ech!"

That actually alerted them I was pregnant before I was ready to tell them!

I'm just starting to feel green over here. Peppermint tea and keeping my tummy somewhat full have been helping.

Do I ever feel your pain (or nausea, as the case may be). I haven't actually puked, yet, but I've come close several times. It seems like it's worse after I eat. Which is ironic, because I sometimes think, "Maybe I feel like crap because I need to eat something," but eating only makes it worse.

I'm not sure if I want to start puking or not...on some, strange level I think it would make me feel better. More pregnant, somehow

I hear ya on that - I seem to have a few days with very little nausea and then a couple of days with some puking then okay again...when the nausea/puking returns, it's like "phew!" how silly!

I am experiencing the same thing. I was never sick with my son. I haven't puked yet, but yeah, I just feel green around the gills, no appetite. I keep hoping that means I've got a girl this time!

First morning of actual puking here. I’ve been feeling pretty terrible in general for about a week, lots of gagging and weird burping-belching noises. (Oh man, now that’s an over-share. Hope I didn’t make anyone else more sick feeling!)

I actually felt much better today after there was some “action” in the stomach department.

But now… someone pass the ginger, please…

Bump!
How is everyone feeling? I'm feeling greener...

I'm really, really sick...I feel fine from about noon until 8pm...but at night, and especially in the morning, there is nothing I can do to feel good. Sorry if this is TMI, but the weirdest part is that what I'm throwing up is not what I'm used to (i.e., not food) - it's just clear liquid, which I'm assuming is stomach acid. I'm trying to eat nice carb-filled foods to soak up the acid, but nothing seems to be helping...Any ideas?!?

But, I'm not complaining - I'm just so glad to be pregnant!

Lately Saltine crackers and ginger ale have been working for me. I feel pretty bad in the mornings before I eat and generally feel sick off and on throughout the day.

Meggles, have you tried the ginger ale from Trader Joe's? I really like it. Seems to have a bit more ginger in it than others. And thanks for reminding me that I need to go buy some tonight!

I hear you! I have been so queasy at night! With DD it was more like early afternoon, with this PG I feel great all day until about 7PM and then I am struggling until I go bed. I was just huting through my cabinets for something peppermint or ginger, I really needed something sharp like that to help cut the nausea. I settled for lemon ice water, it seems to be helping. I actually hope I keep the night nausea because DD is asleep and I am home from work. I am very afraid of getting pukey in the middle of some cooking demo at work! (I do food/nutrition education including cooking). I have something like six cooking demos before I finish my first trimester. Think I can make it?! I only actually threw up once with DD, as long as I snacked regularly I was OK. I hope that is the case again, but it seems worse, earlier.

No, I haven't yet, but thanks for reminding me! I really need to start going to Trader Joe's more...Whole foods is too expensive!

Also--lemon fizzy water and sour citrus altoids have been helping, too.

Another super green one here.

Started puking two weeks ago, and have only made it 3 days without throwing up since then. Granted on those days I still gagged and felt miserable all day, just unable to throw up for whatever reason.

I eat frequently and that helps, but I've already gained 4 pounds and I'm only 7 1/2 weeks so I'm trying to choose lower calorie snacks. Unfortunately only carbs seem to help at all, or fats like nuts and avacadoes With my last pg I gained about 8 pounds in the first trimester, then nothing in the second, thanks to feeling green.

I've tried: ginger, b6, sea-bands, ginger ale, sour things (lemon heads helped for a little while), ginger tea, peppermint tea...

My last pg I resorted to taking unisom, I was hoping to avoid it this time. But I'll worry a little if my weight gain falls off too much because I'm still nursing DD...

So, so sick Today was the first day of our Farmers' Market and I bought a fridge full of beautiful green veggies... and I can't eat a single one. Nothing (NOTHING) sounds good except sourdough bread and olive oil. So DH is at Trader Joe's... getting me sourdough.

Sigh... how can I be blissful in my wretchedness? Is anyone doing health affirmations? I think it’s going to be my new strategy: "My body is a healthy vessel for my baby. I trust my body to know what it needs…" etc

Peace and love... and here's to feeling better!
