I'm 38 weeks 6 days and I had my baby shower! Yeah, a little late in the game, but fortunately I was able to remain pregnant long enough to enjoy my shower! It was a casserole shower, so now our freezer is full of lots of food. I also got a few gift certificates and some basic baby stuff (like jammies and onesies), plus some goodies from the games. I didn't need much since we're having another girl, so the casserole shower was perfect!
The games we played were the rice game with the tiny safety pins in it (where you dig through the rice to try to find as many pins as you can in one minute); guess the baby item game, where you have to feel the bags to guess what baby item is in them (plus I got to keep the baby items), and also match the color of the rose to the meaning (DD2 will be named Rose, so they did a Rose-themed game!).
The best part of the shower--I also got $100 for a diaper fund. So, the big question is, where should I spend my $100??? I have 2 1/2 dozen each in newborn and small diapers (fitted) and lots of covers, but I don't have much wool for those sizes so I was thinking a couple wool covers, maybe a couple AIO's or pockets, and a few replacement diapers for my mediums (DD has worn many of those out-- she's been wearing mediums for nearly 18 months now). I make all my own diapers so I've never bought before, but I thought it would be fun to buy a few diapers. So, what diapers should I get?
