Weirdo tongue sensations...

So as soon as I crossed the threshold into the third trimester, all my cravings and stuff changed, and along with them came some weird sensations on my tongue. First it was a kind of metallic tingling under my tongue, which was uncomfortable and disconcerting. I spent a whole day eating different stuff until I discovered it meant I needed citrus. Like three oranges a day have been taking care of it, even though one of the tingle spots held on longer than the others. Now, though, there's a throbbing spot on the end of my tongue. It's like there's a little creature poking me with a pencil eraser from inside my tongue now and again. I haven't figured out what this one's all about yet.

So, anyone else? Am I a total freak? In general, I've been having more of this kind of stuff than specific cravings. They're like feelings of deficiency. The hard part is I have to really think hard about what they're telling me I want, because I can't always tell.

I don't know if it is about a deficiency, but the last few weeks I have noticed the top of my tongue feeling a little numb sometimes, like the tastebuds weren't working. Can't figure out why.
