Really TMI... but I wanted to get input?

Don't really know if this goes here or not, but hey, why not?

Went to use the bathroom. Had a pretty loose bowel movement. Not unheard of, I would assume, due to pregnancy.

However, it was GREEN! I don't remember eating anything that would contribute to green poo. Not baby-poop green either, more like alge (sp?)/seaweed green.

Does anyone have any ideas?
How long does it take for food to pass through from one end to the other (in an adult?)

I told you it was TMI, and odd to boot, i laughed too.

Iron, from your prenatals i'd assume.

I can't digest iron AT ALL (i'm borderline anemic because of it) and if I take any vitamins with iron (ie, any at all) my poo turns first green, then black...
And often, I don't poop at all.

With my DS, i was on a prenate with colace IN it, and i'd still have to stop taking them in order to have a BM, then start taking them again, and the colace would kick in before the iron constipation would, so i'd have a couple days hovering over the toilet, then constipation and gas again.

was LOTS of fun

Good Theory, only I'm not taking standard Prenatals. I'm taking seperate Folic Acid, Calcium, B complex and Fish Oil. I don't have an Iron in there, which will be changing shortly.

Maybe I ate something with high iron? Although I don't know what that would be? Wheat Bread?

Did you have any watermelon. Strange but true, Watermelon is very high in iron.

My dd always has green poop after eatting things with certain dyes...like 'kid' yogurt, or koolaide...she doesn't get either of them much, but when she does, GREEN poop!

I poop green if I drink grape juice. Some other stuff too, but the grape juice for sure.

Blue icing on a birthday cake does it here.
