Screwy due dates

I just had my second ultrasound this afternoon because I had bleeding for the past week. The tech told me that my due date is Jan 13 and that I was 5 weeks. This information contradicts my OB 's due date of Dec 11 and being 10 weeks based on my last missed period. My hcg levels two days ago are increasing to 6800, so he says that its a good sign. Is there such a thing as a discreptancy like that ? Im sure I didn't have a period in April, so how come the baby is only 5 weeks? I hope everything is developing okay...

Any major stress or new diet or exercise? Sounds like you might have ovulated really late and therefore your not as far along as you would have thought. At least, thats my hopes for ya!

Hmmm, well an hcg of 6800 would correspond with a 5 week pg, not 10wks. I am a little over 6 weeks and my hcg yesterday was over 64,000. Hcg peaks at around 12 weeks, so at 10 weeks it should be well over 100K.

Are they planning on repeating a beta? Doing another u/s?

Like the PP said, maybe you just O'd very very late.

Well, when I did get my period in March, I had an early miscarriage ( I think I was about four weeks)...I wonder if that messed up my ovulation date?

Yeh, they drew my blood again yesterday...hopefully, my numbers went up. I guess we'll see...
