Intact care question

I have two intact sons (almost 5 and 2).

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand I don't need to do anything but bathe them regularly.

I have spoken to the older one and described how his forskin might be loose or move, and if it is then he should clean it. Is this right? The little guy...I can barely catch him to wash his face. (the older kid told me he didn't want me to talk about his pee pee again)

I thought I was right, but whenever I start looking into it, I begin to worry that I should be helping them clean their foreskins? I get so confused, when it comes to when the skin should be retracted (or if) or when it becomes a worry if it isn't retracting. I really don't know much beyond infancy.

These two boys are the only natural ones in the family.

They also both have tight frenulems on their tongues ("tongue tied") I wonder if this may relate to a tight foreskin? or one that takes longer in age to loosen? What if it never loosens?

You are exactly right!

Only if he wants to. There is no need to clean until he reaches puberty and that's only for esoteric reasons. The penis is just as much a maintenance free organ as the vagina.

You can just leave your worries at the bathroom door. What you've been doing is exactly right.

You need to start worrying when they turn 20 years old. A small percentage of boys are not retractile until their late teens. It's also possible that your youngest will be retractile years before your youngest and that's nothing to worry about. It's just the normal variation in human beings.

There is no correlation at all. If a frenulum is tight, it can be loosed with some simple stretching exercises that span a few weeks.

Glad you kept them intact, I was going to give you advice but Frankly had it perfectly covered, as always.

I was going to give advice too, but Frankly did an excellent job. Congrats on the intact boys
