You are right, I am in HOuston. I do not have a birth plan yet or even an OB or Midwife. If you have any suggestions, I would be ever so grateful. Most of my friends are very conventional and plan to go the OB, epidural or caesarean route. I am not ready to give birth at home but a birthing center would be great. Thank you again for all the wonderful congrats and parties.

Drop me a line. I am a homebirther but interviewed 9 midwives before choosing the one that attended my last homebirth. There are a few birth centers here in Houston and I know of an OB or two that would work with you and your wishes. Also, let me know what part of town you are in. [e-mail]

Congrats, Gossamer! I am also in Houston, and I birthed at Birthing Naturally in July. It was AWESOME, and the midwife who runs the center, Rae Andrews, is absolutely fabulous. In fact, the only thing making me consider not having a homebirth next time is that I loved my experience with Rae and Birthing Naturally so much that I don't know if I could stand to do it any other way!
