Hi Ladies, Sorry it's taken me awhile to post this. Just haven't been myself lately. (also I won't go into detail- and yes I can remember everything that was going on while trying to have him. I will leave things out so this won't become to long.)
Anyway, Here's baby Morgan's birth story. My Midwife stripped my membranes(april 21?) 4 days before having him. So I was in pre-labor til April 24. (Ya, I was dialted to 3cm with a bulging water sack- PAINFUL!). On April 24 I woke up at 5:30 a.m crying and just feeling terrible. Called the MW, she said to take a bath and eat something. Ya, right. Then I got the poop's
: While on the potty I felt like I needed to throw up so I ran to the sink. As soon as I pucked my water broke. My DH called the MW. She said to go ahead and make it to her place. I live 30 mins away. The whole time I ws praying in the truck (outloud!
) to God asking that I wouldn't have this baby on the way. Besides trying to not panic to badly- everytime my husband went around a corner I'd gush out water.
:
Finally made it there! MW didn't look like she was hurring to much. She was sitting outside sipping her coffee and playing with her two dogs. Here I come pucking and gushing water from the truck to her downstairs apartment to the birthing room. Talk about having to walk slowly.
Anyway, she got the bath ready for me- I wanted a water birth- but as soon as I got in I could tell that this wasn't going to work. My body structure inside wasn't ment to push babies out in water- It just wasn't the right angle. The MW checked me- I was at 8 cm's. She called her assistant. She shows up. So for two hours I stood up holding on to the MW's bedframe being loud. Then I was put onto the potty pushed for another hour. Morgan made it pass my pubic bone but he got stuck in my tissue muscles. The MW even asked me if I rode horses- I said no only when I was younger. Then I was switched to the bed and then back to the toilet then back to the bed. Finally I was able to have him. Ya, it did sting but not as bad as everyone told me it would be. The whole time I was thinking to myslef (while pushing) who does number 2 work for! In fact, I didn't feel anything- I didn't feel him moving down or his head popping out or anything. No pressure either. I just felt like I wasn't going anywhere. In fact, his head was out, they were working on him. All of a sudden he goes flying out. They barely had time to catch him. I call it the pop and flop method. They flopped him on me and then they started working on me. I had a major blood vessel pop, 2nd degree tears and a few stitches. The whole Time it took to have him was 5 1/2 hours. Thankgoodness for that. I was getting tired. I stayed at the MW's for another 6 hours then went home.
Since then I have been having issues with the whole healing process and trying to get Morgan to nurse. I have only really seen my MW once since that time. She hasn't even really checked me. I don't think I will do this again. I'm so ready to adopt next time.
Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing better then me. Take care. ~ Rachel A.K.A boovert

I also had my baby at my MW's house, but it was a very positive experience.
