I'm just curious. The thing is that today I went for my well woman care at the midwives office. It was a wonderful experience by the way. Mothers from everywhere coming in for check-ups for their pregnancies, mothers nursing their babies, and a generally peaceful atmosphere. But I digress. I wanted to know if anyone has become pregnant while on birth control pills because I'm on BCPs right now and my midwife said that I'm measuring like a woman who is six weeks pregnant. She also said that I had no cervical changes (she let me see my cervix!!
) so that would be an indicator of pregnancy. I went to CVS to get a pregnancy test and took it with my husband waiting with me. The test says that I'm not pregnant, but it's also a week before my period is supposed to start and my last period was quite light. Lighter than usual. I thought it may be due to my new use of cloth menstrual pads, but it could be something else. What we decided to do was wait until the day before my period and take the test again. In the meantime, I'll continue to take my BCPs until I can confirm anything else. Has this happened to anyone else? I just want to know if I'm wierd or something. One more note, my midwife said that I'm at the upper limit of a normal sized uterus. So my uterus may just be a bit big. I would rather be pregnant than anything be wrong with my uterus. I had a fibroid before and it was removed vaginally through the cervix, but I always fear it coming back. My husband and I were a bit disappointed when we saw that I wasn't pregnant. That was our cue to think about TTC this year!!!! Hooray!!!
Any advice would be great. Thanks. I'll probably ask again on the midwives board.
