Who else is past their "due date"?

40 weeks, 1 day today. Even though I rationally know a due date is an arbitrary day on the calendar, it's still kind of demoralizing. I was up again last night with regular contractions from 12:45-5:30am, but then they fizzled out and I got to sleep for a whole hour before getting up. Joy.

Any other past due mamas who care to commisserate?

My due date was yesterday, too. Contractions all day, baby engaged so it was hard to walk. . . . Today, nothing, and I had my husband take the car to work so he could get home fast- now I want it for nesting purposes.

Way Overdue

Im feeling the overdue pain BIG time. I am 41 weeks 2 days pregnant today, and my OB has already scheduled my induction for Monday morning, which I definetly am upset about seeing as I would like to have a completely natural birth. So I am getting desperate and doing anything I can to make myself go into labor. Hopefully I am ready. My doc said yesterday that I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated. Thats something anyway, but not enough for me. This is my 1st baby, I really hope I can get the labor experience I want. :

Well,... Can I join in? i'll be 40wks tomorrow.

I was really hoping to have this baby on Wednesday - no reason other that it was a beautiful day. My inlaws are coming in from out of town - they'll be here tomorrow- and I'd really LOVE to have the baby BEFORE the get here. I think they're going to make me anxious. They're coming to "help" with my DS and DD which is very nice of them, but I can't help but feel pressured and a bit out of control... and that's making me think negatively about how long it's going to take for me to go into labor...grrrrrr....

What are you ladies doing to stay positive? Maybe I'll go "meditate/try to get in touch with the baby" see if I can convince her to come out (now)?

40 wks 5 days here! But due date wasn't set in stone either...still...hard to ignore the "date".

My SIL is our DS's support person and she is out of town from about now until Saturday late evening. So I really, really don't want to go until then!
If I don't have SIL - MIL is a backup and I am really feeling uncomfortable with that...

Still, I am ready for our baby to be here....and for our homebirth. Hang in everyone!

I was due sometime in the last 3 days.Yesterday was my sister's wedding, and it was great! Now I'm ready for labor. Two people at the wedding said I have that labor glow.I was having a few good pulling rushes.Just fun ones though.I'd LOVE to have the baby tonight,so my sis can see it before leaving on her honeymoon to Guatemala for 9 days.I even lined up a dear friend to make my placenta smoothie for me Not an easy task,I'll tell ya.I think we're really ready, other than setting up the pool and general cleaning. Fun stuff.

Made it to 40 weeks today! Incredibly irritable, tired of my phone ringing, and am so ready to meet my new baby!!! I was never like this with my DS - I was totally content in knowing he would come when he was ready, but for some reason I'm going crazy here!?!?!

Anyway - Best of Luck to you all - hopefully we'll have some babies by the end of the weekend!!!!

2 days late, and sick of the phone ringing, too! MommyToBree, most first timers are late. You don't have to show up for the induction, you know. Once the first intervention starts, it's hard to stop others. Cars break down on the way to inductions all the time, ha ha!

Due today, or Tuesday

After two membrane sweeps, losing the mucus plug...never thought I'd make it to my due date. It's today, 21 May, if I go by LMP and 23 May if I go by date of conception.
The baby isnt moving much and I woke up feeling scared about the lack of movement. Is anyone having that experience?

My face is also very puffy, seemingly within the last day or so. Of course Im worried about preeclampsia but it could also be just normal pg swelling--right?

Im ready for her..is she ready for me?

I could have written your post! Due today, 23rd by CD! And although my face isn't puffy, my hands are!
This little one is definitely having periods of quiet that leave me poking myself to get her to move.

Anyway, if anything less were happening (a BH now and then) I'd doubt if I were even pregnant.:

Yep, I hear you about the "if less were happening" part. I know I'm pregnant b/c I have to pee all of the time, but nothing, nothing, nothing else is happening! Oh yeah, and this super-sized watermelon between me and my knees.

Today is my due date so I guess I'll join you all. Labor dust for all of us in the post 40 wait.

Here's a new sensation/experience for me.If I am upright walking or standing for more than 15 min.I get swollen between my legs!Never had this before.I have to sleep with a big sofa pillow between my legs now,or I feel pinched!Either this kid needs to come out soon,or it's planning on moving into my thighs!I may change my name to marsupial thighs soon!
