Being honest, are you hoping for a particular gender?

No flames here. Just because somebody prefers a particular gender does not mean they don't want the other gender. I love my girls and boy, but I'm kind of hoping for another boy just so my little guy has a brother. Ultimately, as long as the baby's healthy, I'm happy. There's just a small part of me that hopes for another little man. I'm a single mama, dating the daddy, but still a single mama. So, my little man is the only boy in the household. Based on timing, the chances would be higher that it's a boy, but for some reason I'm feeling girl. It's early, though.

I am hoping for a boy. I'm not sure why, because I would truly be just as happy with a daughter. Even though I am hoping for a boy, I have a strange feeling its a girl.

I'd like another girl. I think my DD really would love it and I would love to see them together. I always wanted a sister myself. But really, I'll just be over the moon if this little one does not share the neuro/behavior issues that DS has. It was a big fear that nearly kept us from TTC another. This baby is a big effort to be optimistic and if life kicks us in the teeth for it I will be seriously !

I would probably prefer a girl, only because I don't know the first thing about raising kids (only child, didn't grow up around any kids), so I feel like at least I have a little bit more insight on the girl thang.

But, that said, I think it would be so neat and fun to watch a boy grow up...and I have a feeling this little peanut is a boy.

I'm so torn. I want a girl for me and a boy for DS. Its a complete toss up at the moment. I think my family will want a girl since DS is the only one so far, and DF's family already has 2 girls so they'll want a boy. We'll see what happens

I'd like a girl, as we have THREE boys in this house! But it a way, another boy could be kind of cool - there is something sorta fun about talking about "my boys" and I think I definitely *get* the boy thing now (for example, whenever I change a baby girl's diaper for a friend or something, I am always mystified by all those mysterious folds and whatnot...cleaning up the scrotal matter seems so much more straightforward... )

A girl. I'm a girl and I just feel like I could relate to a girl better. Plus I have all these romantic ideals of a mother/daughter relationship that my mother and I didn't have... I felt like this last time though but pretty much knew that ds was a boy (we didn't find out ahead of time).

I'm going to operate under the assumption that I'm pregnant with a boy this time too, so it'll be like a lovely surprise if it's a girl.

I really don't care... I feel that I'd be happy with either. I have a boy and he is so much fun and I love him so much. THat leads me to thinking of course I'd love another boy. Then I think, it would be fun to have a girl. There are no girls in my son's generation in our family. I think I'd be equally happy, for slightly different reason, with either gender.

I think I'm having a girl, though. Last time I thought I was having a boy and I did. So, who knows?

Last night my son told me he wanted two baby brothers and 5 baby sisters.... LOL!

I WANT A GIRL.
My dd is almost 8 and dying for a sister, she prayed every night for months for me to get pg with a sister for her.
She loves her brothers to death, but she really wants this one to be a girl.

Well WANT one over teh other.. not really.. THOUGHT it was one over teh other. MOST DEFINATELY>
While i would love for my daughter to have a sister and always wished I ahd one growing up adn still do wish i had one, I would equally as much love for my son to have a brother.
That said. i really and truly felt and thought that this baby was a girl form day 1. BUT i was SHOCKED at our ultrasound to see he is most definately a HE! SO she'll eb a girl all alone in teh middel of 2 boys. Jus tliek i was.. Ironic isnt' it!! (And i don't thing DH will go for ..."just 1 more" ) LOL

I want a girl soooooo bad. I have a feeling of girl but probably because that is what I want. This is my last so if I don't have a girl I never will. I will be fine with either though! Healthy is top choice!

I'm torn. DD really wants a sister, so that would be nice for her, but I think I prefer a boy. Heartrate on u/s indicates a boy though, 122. The lower hr are usually boys and the higher are girls. Ds was 143 every time they checked. It was uncanny.

Reading the post from Jessjillboyler is exactly what I wanted to say. I have a 3 year old son and this baby will be our last. I want a girl desperately, but like everyone else, healthy is just fine with me.
I know it's early and it is silly, but my husband and I already started a boy and girl name list.

I really, really, really want a girl too. We lost our sweet baby girl in December, 16 hours after birth. I know another girl wouldn't replace her, but..........

I am also one of 4 girls and currently have two sons. I grew up in an estrogen-rich environment, I truly miss that

Well if I'm really honest I'm hoping for a girl. I adore my boys and while I wouldn't mind having another I want to experience a girl. And as silly as it is I want to enjoy all the cute girly clothes and play dolls and things like that with her.

This may sound a little silly, but I'm kind of hoping for another girl. My other child is a girl, and she's so much fun. So I keep thinking it would be cool to have two. My spouse said the same thing, that he needs to stop himself from hoping for a carbon copy of DD #1.

I feel really torn about it.

On one hand, I'd love another girl. I'd love to put DD's clothes on another girl and she's already "ordered" a little sister. I come from a family of all girls so I know girls.

On the other hand, for my husband's culture having a son is considered important, and I think my DH would like son as well, so a boy would be nice.

Urgh. At least I dont' have to decide what to have and nature just gets to surprise me

We're hoping for a , but I would be happy with a boy, too. I'll be happy with any healthy (and cute and brilliant) baby.

My DS wears pink fuzzibunz, and lilac, too.

Last time I really wanted a girl, and we really thought the baby was a girl the whole time. I ended up with a Tanner and couldn't be more thrilled! Boys are so fun. I am really fine with either a boy or a girl this time, but only because we're planning to have one more. If this one is a boy, next time is when I will be on my knees praying for a girl. I just really want to experience that mother-daughter relationship that I cherish so much with my mom.
