What's going on?

How is everyone doing? The board seems to be moving kinda slow maybe it is just me. So tell me how you all are coping with your pregnancies and lives. I wanna know
I am sitting at work at 0330 and have 4.5 hours to go! Then I am off for the week until 1900 on Friday! Yippee! I have been feeling pretty good other than the anxiety issues b/c of the way my house looks on the weekend after working all week to try and clean it up. DH likes to not clean up after himself and the kids cuz you know I'll do it during the week while I am off! Anyway enough of that. I am 11 weeks today or was that yesterday? Working nights gets me all messed up on my days. I am gaining some weight and my clothes are getting tighter. I am hoping to go swimming this week at my sisters pool I think it will be warm enough. I need to find the girls' swimsuits. My mom is having surgery in the morning to repair a hernia that developed after her mastectomy and reconstruction 3 years ago. So I have to come back to this lovely work place after a short nap to see how everything goes.
So that is my news for now tell me yours keep me entertained!

I'm 10w 2d today. I'm doing fine.

The boys are almost done with school for the year, which means it's almost time for them to go to their dad's for the summer . I HATE this time of year, since all they do down there is play video games & watch movies, stay up way too late, and eat all the junk they can. I HATE worrying about what they're doing, if they are putting their sun protection on (usually NO; they are BURNT when they come back ), and if they are associating with the wrong kids. He lives 3 hours away, so I can't go & check up on them. I call frequently though, but still, it's not the same.

My youngest daughter is having her heart surgery on June 9th . She has 2 holes in her heart (ASD; atrial septal defect & VSD; ventricular septal defect) that need to get repaired since they aren't closing on their own & one's gotten bigger as she's grown. So I'm a nervous wreck over that. I booked the hotel last week, and I was crying as I was doing it since it's for real now.

Here's some good news: it's actually warming up here! Gonna be almost 75 degrees this week!! It's been barely hitting 60, and still freezing at night. It's 28 degrees right now.

So that's about all that's happening with me. Sorry to depress everyone with my issues.

teddybearmom. I hope that your daughter's surgery goes well!

I'm 9w1d. Still doing okay. Tired and spacy with intermittent nausea. I'm looking forward to getting to 12 weeks. I have not been to a dr. or midwife yet.. I will hopefully do that around week 12. Once I find one

I'm moving tomorrow. I've been living in Beirut, Lebanon for the past year, and now it is time to head back to the USA. The next 2 weeks are going to be filled with long flights and cross country drives. We get to our new home on June 1, at which point I will probably pass out for 3 days. I guess I won't be on the DDC too often for awhile, but it will be something to look forward to once we are settled.

I'm thrilled that I will be near my mother and the rest of my family during my pregnancy and for the forseeable future. Before moving overseas, I lived in NYC for 9 years (which I loved), so I feel like I have been away for a long time.. going back to my hometown feels right.
I'm so excited about this next step in my life-- a new start with a baby on the way!

I'm 11w5d today and feeling great, except for this cold I've gotten. I had my first baby kicks last week, as I'd posted about. I have my mw appt (first one!) tomorrow morning. I'm very excited about that. I've been very busy with doula work and other work and feel overwhelmed. Hopefully things will get a little more manageable soon!

Thanks for the thread- I like to read everyone's updates.

Well. I'm doing as fine as can be for someone that still throws up every morning, and goes from feeling icky to STARVING in 30 seconds.

Teddybearmom, I hope that your dd's surgery is a great success and that, soon, you will no longer have to worry about her health in that regard.

We had a pretty good weekend. Saturday I had an crazy allergy attack and the post-nasal drip made me nauseas all day, I cannot handle snot dripping down my throat, it makes me gag. But yesterday, I was doing much better, DH and painted the ceiling in the kitchen, we're getting ready to paint the walls next weekend, then replace the hideous floor in there. DH, DD1 and I also started painting the underwater mural in the girls bathroom. It was great fun and it's really looking great. We also went grocery shopping. I only mention that because I'm proud of myself for only spending $107 and getting a ton of great, healthy, food that fits into the recipes I've planned for the week. Some weeks I can handle that, others...not so much.

I think I'm 11w2d. Can't wait for 12 weeks. I've got high hopes that the 2nd trimester in this pregnancy will be as great as the 2nd in my other two.

I have my 2nd midwife appointment tomorrow pm. Hoping to hear the heartbeat.

Man, I could go and on, as I've got a very busy couple of weeks ahead, but I think I'll take it one day at a time.

I hope that everybody else is doing great!

Hello everyone!

I am 10 wks 3 days, and I think I am over the sickness hump. Although, this morning was not much fun, I think I am learning how to deal with starving all the time!
I see my mw this wednesday, I am soooo excited! I might try to hear the heartbeat. When were you all able to hear the hearbeat?
Not really showing yet, I wonder what kind of belly I will have! 2nd trimester here I come!

Hey I haven't been around because DH just came back from a month in CA. WE've had to catch up on a lot of stuff.

I'll be 12 weeks on Wednesday but I'm still dealing with nausea and food aversions. I still hate food with a burning passion although I've finally had my first craving (pickles). Well, actually it's a second craving since I couldn't satisfy my first, limeade from Sonic. We don't have Sonics on the island and I'm freaking out because their limeades were a daily staple in my early pregnancy with DS. I can't wait until we go back to the mainland in June.

I've also decided that I'm moving home to FL after my husband deploys to Iraq. I'm thinking I'll be moving sometime in the Sept/Oct timeframe. I'll be staying at my parent's house. They have a MIL suite they converted into a 1 bedroom apartment so I'll have some privacy and I'll still be birthing at home. Yay!

I'm 8 weeks 4 days today. My first MW appointment is on Wednesday. I wasn't in a big hurry, but when I e-mailed to make sure they had space for me (don't know how busy december gets) she wanted to make an appointment for me then, I was only about 6 weeks. I told her I wasn't in a big hurry so we scheduled it for a few weeks later. (obviously)

I feel great. I tend to overeat, not normal for me, but no sickness. I get tired more often, but not exhausted. I'll also go from being full to starving in about 5 minutes.

This past weekend was pretty busy. Went to visit my parents on Saturday and then my in-laws on Sunday. So, pretty busy. I did take a lot of time to nap though.

Feeling pretty good...my MS lasted a whole week and went away. Very rarely i'll have a bit of queasy tummy, but nothing worthwhile

I'm having lots of bloodsugar issues, I'll be fine and then all the sudden *WHAM* i'm seeing spots and about to pass out. It would help if I ate more often, but I just don't seem to remember until I feel yucky!

The same thing happened with my DS though, so it's no biggie really.

I've been feeling the baby flutter about in there for about a week, on and off...
and I found (and posted!) the heartbeat last week when I got my doppler in the mail!
I'm about 12 weeks (I can never keep track of the days), and feeling really good. I don't feel nauseated much anymore, unless I let my bloodsugar get really out of whack. I have been good about that for the last week or so, though, even though I now feel like I eat all the time. I am still tired most of the time, and took a 4 hour nap yesterday! My mom and step-dad were in town until yesterday morning, though, so the rest of the weekend I didn't get enough sleep. My mom and I talked about the homebirth quite a bit, and she is really excited for me. I'm so glad she's on board with it!

I went shopping this weekend and got a bunch of maternity clothes for my expanding waistline. I don't have much of a belly yet, but I think it's quickly moving in that direction. Some of the things I got are really cute, and I'm looking forward to finally looking like I'm pregnant.

I went to my second midwife appointment last week, and heard the heartbeat for the second time. It was at about 160 BPM! It's so much fun to hear that little heart, and know things are ok in there. We probably aren't going to have a u/s until about 20 weeks, and I absolutely cannot wait to see the little one!

Today I talked to my boss about cutting my hours back to part-time until I leave my job in October, and she agreed to let me do that! I have been putting it off because I didn't want a huge confrontation, but it went very well. Now I can have some time to take care of myself and my baby before the birth.

That's about it with me. It's fun to hear how everyone else is doing . Have a great week!
I'm about 12weeks, 4 days (according to a dating u/s), but I think that is about a week or so off and that I am actually closer to 11 weeks. I feel great. Didn't have any morning sickness, but I haven't with either of my other pregnancies, but I am showing really early this time...I mean showing!!! I look now like I did at 6 months with DS#1 and 5 months with DS#2. I'm wearing maternity clothes about half the time, and my two-sizes-too-big post-partum clothes the rest of the time. I'm still down about 10lbs, even with the big poufy belly.

Well, I am 11 weeks 3 days I am still getting nauseas off and on throughout the day usually when I am starting to get hungry which seems to be all the time I have not gained any weight yet but my clothes are starting to get a little tight. I just had an ultrasound last Wednesday and saw the baby moving his/her little arms and legs My OB says that everything is great so I don't go back for a month. I am still pretty exhausted most of the time and I hate going to work but I have to keep working until at least October so that we can save up enough money for me to take a year off after the baby is born like I did with my dd.

Hello! I will be 11 wks tomorrow! At 9 1/2 wks we had an u/s and saw the baby move and heard the heartbeat! It was wonderful. This Friday I have an appointment and should hear the heartbeat with a doppler. Last August I had a miscarriage at 10 wks (found out at 13) and have been really nervous this pregnancy. The u/s really relieved my fears and I have been more relaxed.

After 3 wks of pretty bad morning sickness, it has started to slow down. Watermelon is my favorite food these days. My belly has popped fast! Maybe it remembers from last August? So, I have been wearing loose skirts and pants and even a pair of low rise maternity jeans!

Thanks for the thread! It is nice to see how everyone is doing.
teadybearmom, I am sorry that your daughter needs surgery.

i'm 10wks today...just scared...i don't know if anyone read my other post, but i had bleeding for a couple weeks they *think* due to a bladder infection, but i also had an abnormal ultrasound (6w4days is when it was done) but the baby was still alive as of then w/a heartbeat of 103 so i'm just crossing my fingers and waiting till my first appt (june 2nd) hopefully its good news

I'm 8w4d today. I have my first appt with a mw tomorrow, and am both nervous and excited (this is my first pg). I'm hoping that I like this mw, as they seem to be hard to come by in Utah outside of a hospital setting. This one's talking homebirth which, after the initial "I don't know if we can do that here", I'm actually getting very excited about. I guess I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Other than that, I'm still consistently STARVING, and my tastes are fluctuating wildly from peanut butter and honey sandwiches to honeydew melons to yummy pork ribs. DH thinks it's hilarious how much I'm eating and how I swing wildly from "that sounds delicious" to "ewww, why that?" and back.

I am very glad that some of my exhaustion seems to be subsiding just in time for my summer field work - I'm working on my Masters thesis in biology, and will be hiking around, chasing bees and identifying flowers. Now if I can just make sure to pack enough food every time I go out.

I am about 8w4d...still having a bit of m/s which started at week 6 - i tend to have a couple of days where i feel nauseous and puke, then a few days with no problems...then back to m/s again. This is our first baby...

I think I have actually been losing some weight but my tummy feels different - harder or something - not just flabby! My pants all still fit but my boobs are huge so my shirts aren't fitting well - can't wait to get some maternity clothes.

We have our first midwife appointment this afternoon which I am very excited about! Generally I have been feeling okay. Definitely more tired and spaced out than normal - and I too will feel totally pukey one minute and then starving the next! Having some food cravings - pickles and anything sour. Aversions - yes! Can't really eat veggies or anything that strongly tastes like garlic or onions (which normally i LOVE).

I had a scary experience this weekend - woke up on friday with really bad hives on my joints - this worsened and then all of my joints swelled to the point that I could barely walk, pick up the phone, hold a glass of water...it was VERY scary since I don't have any allergies that I know of, and have never had any kind of reaction like this. I ended up going to the hospital and getting a big shot of benadryl in the arm and have been taking high doses of oral benadryl since then...which totally knocks me out so I have been sleeping like 15 hours a day!

They don't know what would have caused the reaction but man, was it bad! I am feeling better now and hoping that never ever happens again. I think all is well with the bean...no spotting, cramping etc.

fingers crossed!

Dunno how far along I am.

I'm due around December 8th, if you count 40 weeks from March 17th (when we concieved) So you do the math, I sure as heck cant

Coping? Just naps, taking it easy, reading books, all that good stuff.

Not puking..came close a few times, but that's it.

My bean pic is in my siggy. Click on the Storky. hehe

But yeah, I'm just debating on weather or not to go to the Dr one last time before we move, or just say farkit and get the Midwives to fax the requisition for my records to the office...

I'm 13 weeks and some days right now. I was feeling much better, until I managed to catch some sort of upper-respiratory virus a few days ago, and now I'm back to feeling crummy.

I've only gained 3 pounds, but am wearing clothes that are 2 sizes bigger than before. How does that work?!? LOL!

Oh, and I love my midwife. Before I started seeing her, I was feeling a little bad about my decision not to use my family doc again, because she was wonderful, and did such a great job with my last pregnancy. Now I can't even imagine having made any other decision.

teddybearmom- Thinking of you and your family. I hope everything goes very smoothly for you and your daughter, and please update us when you get a chance!

Well I have gotten some of the mess from the weekend cleaned up! I got my room clean and dd's room clean some laundry done and the living room cleaned. I just have the bathrooms and the kitchen left to do. My mom's surgery went well she is still in the hospital though probably get out tomorrow b/c she is having trouble controlling the pain. I was up there 3 times yesterday which is a bit b/c the hospital is like 35 minutes from my house. Oh well.
teddybearmom: I hope your dd's surgery goes well. I had a cousin that had to have several heart surgery b/c of a hole.
mainermoma: you should be able to hear the heartbeat at this appt. but sometimes not.
raversangel: I hope your appt. on the second goes well!
Padora114 you are about as far along as me. The mw says the 6th I say the 10th so you are 11 weeks and a few days.

Well it has been nice reading everyone's updates. Hope everyone's week goes well.

I'm 9w2d and feeling bleh. My afternoon sickness has definately mellowed, but I don't really like eating much these days. Nothing sounds or tastes good, so I'm having to force myself to eat.

I've got no energy these days. A few times a day, it's like I hit a brick wall and I HAVE to take a nap. When I'm not sleeping, I can barely move.

I need to set up an app with the midwife in the next few weeks. I'm excited to have a homebirth, but I'm really not looking fwd to driving the 2 hours to see her for prenatals every month. I'm halfway considering seeing the local homebirth friendly ob for the first part of the pg, so I don't have to drive so much.

Otherwise things are good. I got married last Friday, and had a really good job interview that I should be hearing back about next week.
