Hi all,
I've been a little bit MIA lately but am popping in from time to time. I started school full-time! I am one BUSY lady! I'm in class 5 hours a day, I volunteer 7 to 10 hours per week (a requirement for one of the classes), plus I have reading to do and papers to write. I am swamped.
DD is doing wonderful with all the changes - DH is kind of doing the lion's share of her care and feeding, which I feel horrible for - I want to spend more time with her - but I'm dropping everything and chilling with her for the 3 hours between picking her up from school and putting her to bed every night. At least doing school now is easier and less traumatic than if I started with a young infant at home too. When the new baby comes I'll take 8 months off.
The little bean is doing fabulous

I had an appointment with my OB yesterday. Heart rate is 159 and I am measuring right on schedule. I am very happy! I feel wonderful, physically. I'm riding my bike to school most days and have a lot of energy and almost no nausea. I have grown out of all my pre-pregnancy pants except one pair of "fat" pants - sigh. I am wearing maternity pants and trying to do long shirts, but I think people are starting to notice.
I decided to stick with my OB for this pregnancy (a large part of the reason is a lack of time to interview any other providers, and DH's continuing resistance to home birth). But I am getting a doula for the hospital and I think that will help quite a bit.
I haven't had a chance to read all the replies but I will soon! Hang in there ladies - we are just about DONE with the first trimester!
