Running a fever - Reassure me?

I was half awake half the night last night, alternating between the chills and burning up. I think I was just so tired and out of it, that I didn't even think to take my temp, so I'm not sure how high it went, but this morning I feel significantly better and my temp was 100F, so I am sure it was higher. Anyone want to reassure me that I didn't do permanent damage?

Don't worry... your fever would have to get EXTREMELY high to due real permanent damage. I'm talking like 106 or 108. Sounds like yours was around 103. Next time you feel like that, use a cool compress or take a 99 degree bath. Either one will bring your temp down slowly so it doesn't throw you into shock. Any more questions, let me know!

I had a fever with dd's pg around 12 weeks along- it was hovering at 102 and would not go down, even with shower, tylenol, etc. I went to the ER since it was climbing and I couldn't get it down, and it went down as I walked in the door. I never got sick or anything- I figure I was probably fighting off something. Good luck!

I hope that you're feeling all better really soon.

When I was pregnant with ds I got food poisoning at 6 weeks. My temp (normally 97.2-97.5) got up to 104. He's now 19 months old and perfect.

You'll be fine. Baby will be fine. You can take Tylenol to make you feel better.

(((hugs)))
