Walmart promoting formula?

My local Walmart has a display set up that is motion activated. It starts on about how great whatever formula it is. I don't think it even said breast is best. Are they allowed to do this?

: I'm sure they wouldn't care if they weren't allowed to do it.... They'd do it anyway.

They're absolutely not allowed to do it. But that never stops them, does it?

ParisApril - why don't you call your local Public Health office and let them know about the display? Is Paris under the Brant County jurisdiction? I'm in Hamilton and our public health department is very pro-breastfeeding - I'm going to check out our local Walmart and see if the same thing is happening here. If it is, I'll let the breastfeeding promoters at City Hall know - maybe they can do something? And writing Wal Mart, boycotting, etc. always helps too.

I suggest these ideas because once our local Fortino's grocery store was selling Krispy Kreme donuts to raise money for the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation! I thought store's choice of fundraising product was ironic, to say the least. I called the local Heart & Stroke office and let them know - they had no idea - the manager of the store was called and the donuts were pulled. So, you never know what you can do to help ....

Call the press! Tell them that Walmart is violating advertising guidelines! I can't find a link to any US specific ones, but this has links to the WHO suggested guidelines:
