Lactivism-what can I do?

I didn't want to steal the lactivism book-website thread. I got thinking what else can I do?? I recently started becoming more passionate about lactivism.

So far I ordered some advocacy shirts for dd and I. Also I am getting a bumper magnet for my car.

I come to this site and look for opportunities to send a letter to a company for exam. livejournal, Target etc...

I really can't NIP right now b/c dd is WAY too distracable-she won't even NIP at all. So I do try to go somewhere sorta quiet so she will nurse or in the front seat of my car and people can still see in.

What other things can I do to try to make a difference?

Join Promom's 3-minute lactivist:

Organize a National Nurse Out in your community:

Joine La Leche League and, maybe eventually become a leader:

Talk a lot about bfing and NIP in public a lot. People will find you with their problems .

Buy a breastfeeding calendar for your pediatrician's office-- or if they are already pro-breastfeeding, for another practice that is not.

Last Friday I had to bring ds in for an ear infection-- I fumed the entire 30 minutes waiting because I was staring at the enfamil calendar on the wall in the waiting room, and having my poor baby crying in pain.

I'll be writing a letter- I already was planning on asking them to remove the cans of formula in all the exam rooms and the free formula pens, pencils, and post it pads they have all over. Then they added the calendar to the waiting room.

If ds was feeling better I would have encouraged him to, oops, accidentally tear it down.

Thanks for the ideas. I am going to the next local LLL meeting. I can't wait.
