UPDATE below! Help needed ASAP--what is this?

It's 3 am here...I felt a little release of fluid while I was lying in bed and went to the bathroom--it was enough to wet my undies. I peed. Then I felt like there was more fluid. The liquid that came out after came in a little gush--there wasn't tons and tons of it (I know b/c I caught it in a glass to try to see what it was --a few tablespoons maybe? It wasn't clear, but I can't tell if it's urine (smells maybe faintly like urine, maybe not...could also be some urine and some fluid?). There's a decent amount of white discharge-y stuff floating in it. I'm not having contractions, but I am feeling a little crampy--and freaked! Nothing else seems to be coming out at this point.

Does this sound like a fluid leak/bag of waters breaking? If so, does the fact that it's not totally clear mean meconium (it's not particularly dark, maybe a light yellowish/vaguely tan--it looks vaguely murky, but I can't tell if that's because of the actual color or the discharge floating in it).

Any thoughts? I'll call my mws in the morning, but obviously I'd like to know now!

Hmmm, the gush part sounds like fluid leaking. However, my water was broken by the mw when I was at 9 cm, so I don't have 1sthand experience. But George had his 1st bowel movement in utero, and I can tell you the color of the liquid was majorly green-- there was NO question about it... So to me it sounds like your bag may be broken/ leaking, but no meconium for the moment.

Well, I had some bloody show at 4am (!). I can't tell if the liquid is fluid or urine. I've been peeing ALL night--6 or 7 times, and a lot each time--but it seems to be urine, and a lot of the time I could tell by the smell it was urine. OTOH, I definitely had a *little* gush at 3, and dh was making me laugh this morning and there was also a tiny bit of leaking (again, not enough to soak my undies or anything, but something).

No contractions...just some very low crampiness and very occasional (mild) bowel pressure. If my bag of waters actually BROKE, I would be having contractions by now, no (it's been 4 hours).

I'm also curious about what the bloody show means...I've heard that losing a non-bloody mucous plug means labor could still be far away, but that bloody show usually means it's closer.

I dunno...we're in total shock. We didn't expect ANYTHING to happen for at least a week.

Good Luck. If it was your water breaking even with a little leak (that is how it did with my dd just a small leak) it won't stop bc your fluid reproduces
every so often so you may stop leaking for a little while but it will keep coming out every so often. Hope it is good news. And bloody show just means you are close.

Oh my Amanda!! Sounds like labor is coming soon sweetie. My water broke on the toilet and it felt no different than peeing. The only reason I knew was because it was meconium stained.

NYC that sounds fabulous! It seems to me like you might have a little leak. With my second, I had the same sort of ambiguous thing in the AM and at noon the big pop and gush of the whole thing breaking. How exciting for you Mama. Things are cookin'!

Yup--definitely water breaking! We went to the birth center and they confirmed it--now back home and going to go for a walk to try to get this party started. I'm still having just some cramping and *some* uterine tightening, but not enough that I can feel it if I'm not feeling my tummy. Send happy labor vibes...I feel a little pressured to get things going since my water broke!

BTW...I am SO SO surprised. Until last evening, we had no signs of labor. We weren't expecting anything until June.
