Has anyone seen a nursing moms room in another country?

I am curious to know if other countries have rooms for nursing moms or if it is an American thing. I have been to many countries, including Latin American, European and African, and I have yet to see a nursing moms room. I remember one time when I was a teenager in Switzerland I saw a mom breastfeeding her baby in the middle of a restaurant with her entire boob hanging out and I was horrified.

Not another country, but I saw a nursing moms room at a mall in Puerto Rico.

I saw one once in science world in Vancouver. I nursed on the bench outside it! Actually it was nice, It had comfy chairs and a one way window (the kind that is a window looking out but a mirror looking in) looking out over a secure play area for older children. It was gated with a gard at the gate who would only let children out with the adult they came in with. But ds wanted to see me while he played and dd has never minded nursing with a lot of activitie around so...

I don't remember ever seeing another one in Canada though.

I do remember a childrens clothing/toy store that would set up a tent during the anual Street Fest for moms and babies to get out of the sun and sit and nurse or play with some of their sample toys. but it wasn't a private nursing room it was open on 3 sides.

there are nursing rooms here in hungary. it is getting to be a common thing in the EU.
i NIP a lot, it is highly accepted here, so we don't really need them, imo.

There are quite a few here in the UK although a lot of them are baby feeding and changing rooms.

The nicer ones Ive been in (mostly to change DD as I'm happy to nurse whervenr) have a couple of changing tables and comfy chairs, in the baby stores theye is usually a bottle warmer as well but I've never noticed that in the shopping centres. Again in the baby stores they is often a box of toys for older children. There are often curtains which you can draw around the chair if you'd like more privicy.

I have 2 issues with the feeding and chaging rooms, firstly when the nappy bins are not emptied often enough they stink, secondly DH always feels a little uncomfortable going in there to change DD.

Many places also display a "breasfeeding welcome logo" http://www.breastfeeding.nhs.uk/ta_o...rform_2005.asp - it's about half way down the page. I;m not sure if they have to meet some standards to display that but everwhere I've ntoice it the staff have been friendly, even asking if I woudl like a glass of water while I fed DD.

I love when businesses have breastfeeding welcome decals or plaques. I make sure to patronize that business whenever I can.

They're in all the shopping centers here in Australia. There's usually a toilet (in a separate room), a play area for older kids, changing tables, sink, microwave, and comfy chairs (both in the open and behind a curtain).
