"Law and Order:Criminal Intent"

Did anyone else see this BFing reference last week?

It was sort of weird. The son's wife is nursing their baby and the baby's stepgrandmother (who it turns out later slept with the son when he was a teenager and conceived his "half brother") says to the baby's mom, "So you're still breastfeeding?" and the mom says, "Just for a couple more weeks, and then we will start formula." Then the step grandma says, "It's just sugar and chemicals." (which was a comment I liked) but then the next scene the parents are having sex in the bathroom! I'm not sure what that was all about.

I didn't even catch that. Dh was watching, and I was sort of listening from the kitchen. I caught on to the people having sex in the bathroom, and I was like, what the heck is going on? Anyway, I'm surprised dh didn't say something about it. I think he was occupied with ds too, so he might have missed it. That's funny that she said that though. Too bad she was crazy!

I was half way watching that episode but I did catch the "few more weeks" part! : It was an odd comment and I don't know why they even needed to add it in there. I didn't hear the part about the sugar and chemicals though. Probably couldn't hear it over me talking back to the TV.

Step grandmother also said Mom would "lose her figure" if she quit breastfeeding. Really wacked out, as Criminal Intent usually is. ALways good to see a baby breastfeeding on TV though.
