Ill be surprised if Taylor wins.....Kat is so cookie cutter Idol material. Beautiful and still young so she doesnt know who she is yet. But Id never buy her cd. I think shes a good singer.

Im rooting for Taylor.......he's the seasoned vet.....and his passion comes thru his performance. Ill be very surprised though if he gets it.......

I tried calling all of his numbers last night and couldn't get through.

The thing with Taylor is that he was there to win last night. He knew that it was his time to shine and he did. Katharine, who I used to love, doesn't know how to command the audience yet. She knows that she's got an amazing voice and she thinks that it's enough to get her through. She doesn't seem to realize that personality will come into play. Taylor can sing AND he's entertaining. Katharine will make great albums, but she won't win this competition.

How old is he, anyway? Dh and I think he has to be in his late 30's - early 40's... but they don't allow that, do they?

I loved Katharine in beginning...now she's kinda BLAH to me. There just doesn't seem to be any spark of originality in her, but I suppose thats probably what they want for AI I do really like the first song that she sang last night, but I hate her 'cover' of Somewhere over the rainbow.

I actually *didn't* like Taylor in the beginning, but now I really do. It seems like he would do something more unique (if allowed of course). Honestly though, I have absolutely no clue who will win this time! I've correctly picked out which 2 in the top 10 I thought would make it to the finals every season but this one. I thought it would be Katharine & Chris. Gosh I sure do miss Chris on there! WAHHHH!

Supposedly he's only 29 and went grey really early.

www.dialidol.com has been on the mark all season, from what I've heard. It tracks the busy signals. They have Taylor winning easily.

I think he's a cutie ... reminds me of DH.

When Taylor said that his brother was the one who encouraged him to try out for the show... my hubby and I were thinking that it was a joke or dare or somthing... he seems like he would never need the show( although a career boost can be helpful Im sure)... He's been my favourite from the beginning. I really liked Paris too.

Chris should have won!!!! I love Chris!!!!! Anyway, just finished watching the finale--we got it live here which was pretty cool but DH is at work (it's 11am) so I just have to talk with you all about the show. I absolutely loved it--thought it was an awesome show. I loved how they put Kellie with Puck it was hilarious. Chris with Live rocked. Hated Kat with Meatloaf--she sounded terrible. I laughed so hard at the Clay and his fan thing . It was awesome, even ended the way it should have (well, without Chris, the only acceptable way it could have ended).

I thought Chris looked really sad every time they showed him. I feel bad that he wasn't in the finale.

Did anyone else think the whole finale was very weird? The Katherine/Meatloaf thing was frightening, as was Clay and his "superfan". Then Toni Braxton--does she realize that "In the Ghetto" is not a sexy song??? Poor Taylor looked afraid... It was still wonderful in the American Idol cheesy way, but you have to wonder who comes up with some of that stuff!

I liked the kid singing with Clay- at first I thought, how mean- it looked like they were going to really mock him- but it was so sweet- did you see Ryan get a chair for him, & keep asking him, are you ok?? I loooove Clay. I thought that HAD to be him but his hair was SO different. I bet he was not recognized on the street much at all- of course now he's blown his cover, !!
