Rebozo-wearing mamas?

Hey mamas

I acquired a Rebozo a while ago and have been wearing ds in it a bit. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to keep the fabric all the way under his legs (from butt to knee) when carrying him on my back. I'm not worried about him falling - he's still being held just fine - so much as I'm worried about his weight being in the right place. Any tips for fixing that?

Thanks! I love my Rebozo!!!

don't have an answer to your question

Is the Robozo the only sling you have used? Just wondering how it compares to the Maya, which is what I have. I have not been using it so much because of the winter weather (tons of coats, etc) and the amount of bags I have to schlepp of late when I am taking DD to meet her daddy when I am going to class, but am hoping to get back to the sling more once we don't have all the extra layers. I like the Maya, but wonder about using something else as an alternative.

I used the Maya wrap with ds until 8 months ago when I loaned it to a friend. It worked very well for us when he was smaller, but I never felt secure carrying him on my back in it, for some reason. I know some mamas are able to with no problem, but I just didn't feel as though I could work it properly. Also, I'm pretty bony up top, and the rings were always pretty uncomfortable for me. I like the Rebozo because I can better control how the fabric is spread and gathered (no folding involved) and because I can decide where I will tie the knot (rather than having to figure out where the rings are going to end up when I finish tightening the sling).

I wear ds 33 months in a Rebozo and love it by far.....
When you put him on your back do you open the sling all the way up so that some of the sling is covering his back?
I have to tie mine pretty tight too to get a secure hold..
did you get any of the literature with the rebozo on use how to's?
If not here is a link...

http://www.rebozoway.org/articles/origway.htm
scroll down the page you will see a header that says " third wrap for 3 months to 3 years" there you will see how to do this...

BTW not to start a sling debate but do not give up on your rebozo
