My babymoon ends tonight...

Kinda sad. I'm getting a little teary-eyed thinking about it. Tomorrow morning I have to go to class and leave my babe with DH for three whole hours. Tomorrow morning my cousin goes home and I won't always have someone to help out with fetching and carrying and household stuff.

My cousin ran to the store to pick up some ingredients and when she gets back we're going to throw together a birthday cake really quckly for the baby and my DH (who shared their b-day on the15th)--it was gonna be my labor project but by the time I got around to starting it things were too intense. A couple of friends are coming over and we will introduce Ellie to them.

It's a bit of surprise for DH since he's in class tonight.

I know many of us are still waiting for our babes, but I just had to post this milestone. I'm a little bit scared about how I will handle motherhood once real life starts back up. I'm very scared of developing PPD, since I'm so prone to depression already. I have to start thinking about getting the house put back in order.

And I can't even imagine leaving my baby for three hours, and yet, come 9 am tomorrow morning it's gonna happen. I'm so sad this special time is ending.

My ds is 10m and I still get a bad feeling in my stomach when I have to leave him. I cant give you any specific advice, but just know that even though it seems like the end of the world, its not, and you and babe will both be ok

I went back to work p/t when dd1 was 8 weeks old and it was a killer. It was only for 4-5 hours at a time, a couple of days a week and she was with dh, my mom or MIL depending on which day of the week so I knew she was in good hands but it was soooo hard. Hang in there mama!

It actually went well. It kinda feels good to be getting some routine back. We got up really early and nursed before we left for class. Then drove out there (it's an hour away), got some breakfast from a little place with a breakfast bar full of fruit and nursed again there, and then went to class. DH and Ellie hung out in the student lounge and I went and checked on them duringmy breaks. DH ended up feeding her a bit of milk with a syringe, but just a little and she was ready to nurse again right after class, so we sat in lounge and did that and talked about class, then came home.

It was actually kinda nice. And I knew I couldn't nurse during class, so I treated myself to a fancy mocha on my first break. Not that I wanted to feedmy daughter with a syringe, but since we had to anyway, it was nice to get my peppermint mocha.

With our schedules the way they are, we should be able to have DH and Ellie comewith me to every class for the rest of the term. We're really pretty lucky.

And our little end-of-babymoon party last night was really sweet.
