Confession time, again... - Page 5

I made a big batch of garlic cheese biscuits this morning. You know, the ones like at Red Lobster, made with Bisquick. : DS ate one, DH ate two and I suspect the rest of them won't make it until dinner.

Prenatals? Ummm, yeah, they are on top of the fridge. Right now I much prefer the Flintstones Gummy vitamins I bought for DS.

I love my afternoon spoonful of icecream when it is so darn hot and there's no breeze.
I find myself wistfully sniffing my husband's beer or occasional glass of red wine -- since when does beer smell good? (This isn't any fancy schmancy beer, either.)
We haven't decided on a name yet, and rather than panic, I'm just growing comfortable thinking of her as "little one". She'll be the "little one" for quite some time, so that could really buy us some time. (kidding)

ooh, weird, me too. Made them just this morning. And I've never made them before, ever. I'm freezing some.

Heh, heh, I attribute my babies' healthy weight gain to my new addiction to Klondike bars! (What would YOU do for a Klondike bar?!!)

OMG!! Klondike bars!! Have youseen the new Reese's Klondike bars? I'm figuring peanut butter has to equal protein, no?!?!?

You haven't seen the spoon I use I guess it's all relative... I was never much of a snacker before, but my sweet tooth has just exploded and I feel like pregnancy turned me into an eating machine, so snacking on ice cream like this just seems like a big difference from pre-pg behavior.

And the beer one is just weird to me -- I agree, sort of weak as a "confession". I would say I actually disliked the way it smelled before, but now, some evenings I feel like just going to a calendar and counting the days before I'll have one. DH has reminded me I'm being silly at this point and there is very little risk from small amounts of booze at this stage of the pregnancy, so it's clearly more of a personal discipline thing than any rational 'preventive' behavior.

Mmmmm.....those look sooooo good! The day I saw them in the store I already had 2 packs of the Heath ones at home in the freezer...don't know where the sudden inhibition came from, but I didn't take any home!

I keep on shouting at my poor dog - who insists on sleeping in doorways so i can trip over her.

Ds keeps on making a high pitched whining noise whenever he asks for something so i cant understand him - when i ask him to repeat it or make a guess at what he says he throws himself on the floor kicking and screaming (well - he is going to be 2 on sat) - i found myself yelling at him today "JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT".

there is a bottle of wine in the fridge and although its only lunch time and i'm very pregnant - i want a drink! but as i can't have one it will be icecream again.

I totally understand about the dog thing....my dog is now scared of me. I just keep yelling at him and calling him names I know I am awful, but I can't STAND him. He seems to be so stupid sometimes I just don't get it.

It's 8:30 am and I just finished breakfast - leftover meatloaf and mashed potatoes from last night with raspberry iced tea.

Now I'm finishing off the container of vanilla ice cream in the fridge.

My confessions are:

I quit smoking at the beginning of this pregnancy, and I am so glad I was finally able to kick the habit but OMG I want a cigarette sometimes!!!!
I lay awake in bed at night hoping sooooo much I will go into labor, even though I am only 33 weeks.
I want to hurt anyone who gives me strange looks when I'm carrying my 10 month old son around with me. Yeah I have a young baby and I'm due again. Your point is??......

congrats on the smoking, mama P (what's the username about? Do you use the word poot the way my mama used to?)

I don't know if this will make it worse, but I know just what you mean about the smoking, and I quit 12 years ago! It does get better, but somehow it never seems to totally go away. You are awesome for quitting.

When DS1 was born, he pooted a lot and we thought it was cute, so we nicknamed him Poot. The title Mama Poot was created by my husband. I have a "poot", and I'm a mama, so I am now Mama Poot
