Anyone have a sleeper?

Everything is going well here but I have a quick question for you other new Moms. dd is nursing really well, pooping, peeing etc. My concern is she seems to go a long time between feedings sometimes. She nurses about every 3 - 3 1/2 hours or so in the daytime, then seems to eat non-stop from about 8 till 11:30 or so, then sleeps for 5 hours. Is that normal? Anyone else have a baby like this? DD1 ate every 1 1/2 hours around the clock so this is really strange for me.

TIA

Yes, my DS does this too. He is pooping and peeing well and gaining weight so I am not worried about it!

Lucy's doing the same thing... but thankfully, she's waking up at 7pm and going until 10ish

She's also and extremely noisy sleeping. Lot's of squeaks, grunts, and snorts. So even tho she's sleeping well, it's still hard for me to sleep with all the ruckus.

Sounds like Phoebe! She was sleeping pretty quietly until last night, when we got the squeak, grunt, and snort chorus. It did make it pretty hard for me to sleep when I constantly (and erroneously!) thought she was waking up! 5 hours is the most she'll do in a stretch at night; it's usually more like 3-4, but I'm not complaining. I usually feel pretty rested in the morning. I might crash in the afternoon, but I can take a nap then!

Dree does that too... she cluster nurses and then naps for a long time in arms, the mei tai or the baby seat. It's a little odd after having ds who nursed all the time day and night... but I seem to recall dd1 was a cluster nurser/long napper too.

My babe does this! I asked about it in the bf forums and a couple of women told me I should be waking her to nurse and that she may be jaundiced or have some other issue.

I'm still nervous about how long she will go without nursing, but glad to hear we're not the only ones.

Alayna is a great sleeper too. She usually will do 3-4 hour stretches at night, and will take 2-2 hour naps during the day. I feel like she's really starting to get on a schedule which is sooo nice!!

DD does this too. In fact, she just downed 75ml of formula in the SNS (most she has ever taken), then zonked out on Daddy's chest. I guess i should go to sleep, as she's probably out for the night, or at least until 2.
