I know pregnancy can do funky things to your body... but...

... can you suddenly develop a sun allergy?

Bit of background .... for the last three weeks or so a couple other moms and I have been making a 2+ mile walk every morning, M-F.

After Monday's walk I got back and noticed my arms itched. Then realized there were little red bumps everywhere. Then I came to the conclusion they were hives.

They are only from my sleeve line down, mostly concentraded on my upper arm (like the bicep part... but only on the outside of the arm, right where the sun would hit)... there are some on my forearm as well, but not as many. Most of the hives are on my left arm, where the sun hits the most on our walk (on the second half of the loop we make there is a lot more shade).

I do have seasonal allergies, but right now I couldn't really tell you if something is bothering me like that because I have a cold (I really hate colds in the summer... it seems So Wrong!).

So... could the sun really be the culprit? Or maybe something's blooming and some part of it just blew onto my arms? I'm just totally at a loss here as to what this is. I've never had hives before so... gosh... I'm quite perplexed by this.

(oh, and as a side note.. is there anything I can take to get rid of the bumpiness? it seriously creeps me out to have my skin feel like mini bubble wrap)

ooh... and then just as a fun bit about the walks... the three of us were in today's edition of the local newspaper walking the kiddos... one of the coolest things (i think) was that i had lucy in the mei tai, so babywearing got some exposure!
