ok, im going to take a major step here and ask if anyone else has experienced this. this was my first natural birth after 2 c/s's.
the last month or so i have been having an "issue" with my internal self. i noticed it one day in the shower as i was well...washing "down there". i felt something HARD poking out of me. I felt around and was really worried about what the heck it was...I discovered that 'it" was the backside of my vaginal wall!!! it seems that the backside of my vaginal wall falls down and closes the opening of my well...vajayjay.
has this ever happened to anyone else?
if i push it back, it will go back in place but then it falls down again.
i don't know...its really weird to me.

I'm not sure what vaginal prolapse would feel like, but that's what I would think it would feel like. Hmm... I'd get that checked out. Does everything else seem to be working okay?

OMG! that is so IT! there is a lump in the opening. i had 2 c/s's but my babies are big, although E was the smallest at 8.4. that is exactly what is happening. thanks Amy

My guess is maybe a prolapse. It can be your bladder pushing in from the front or rectum pushing in from the back. I would go and have your midwife or GYN check it out.

Yeah the only thing they can do is fit you for a pessiary to hold it up. Sorry that happened to you. It's one of the biggest worries I had.

I looked up Pessiary, because I have never heard of that before, and I read that Sea Sponges can be used in their place. Just FYI.

I'm sorry if you are having prolapse, Rach. I'm not sure I know anything about prolapses and had to look it up to even understand them.

this is so depressing me right now. im going to call my midwife next week to make an appt. but this is exactly what i have. from what i have read, surgery is the only thing that can really "fix" this.
i know im not young, but im only 38. i wouldnt change my decision for anything, but isnt it ironic that when i finally get my natural birth, this happens.
welcome to my life.....

Awww sorry you're distressed about this Rach. I have prolapse too (my bladder pushes in from the top) and my midwife says it is really common and not too big a deal. She said some kegels can help a bit but ultimately there isn't much I can do. It isn't causing me any problems though. Would it help you feel better if you knew you weren't the only one?

yeh, it would help! lol!
from what ive read, surgery is necessary but i don't know...it doesnt cause me any other problems but it seems to me that this could cause alot of other problems (isnt there supposed to be breathability there, e.g.).
i dont know...
