When do most people feel the baby move?

I can't remember, and I'm no good at guessing!

I think it's close to 18 weeks? I'm not sure, my brain doesn't function anymore.

First time moms average 18-22 weeks. Not sure on subsequent moms, but it's often earlier than the first time.

I felt it at 15 weeks with my first, and 11 weeks with this one. Totally kills that "overweight women feel it later" myth! I had more padding on me this time than last time!

I felt ds move for sure on my birthday at 18.5wks (he's my first). Some fluttering before that, but I couldn't be sure.

I just posted a thread like this at my local AP group's board.

My first was about 18-19 weeks
2nd preg. about 15-16 weeks
3rd preg. about 14 weeks
4th preg. about 10 weeks (for the last several days now...)

Most of the ladies in my local group agreed that with subsequent pregnancies they definately felt the baby move by about 14 weeks, and several at the 9=11 week mark.

I don't feel distinct movements, like kicks or flips, but I can feel the sensation that something is moving around inside of there right now.

I felt dd at 16 weeks (movement and pops) and m/c #2 at 6.5 weeks, then I felt this one (pg #3, baby #2) at 10.5 weeks. And no, there's no chance I'm wrong on my dates.

And Boscopup- I'm with you! I have a spare tire this time around and felt my little bean WAY earlier than any of my skinny friends ever have. I think it has more to do with position of the uterus and where baby is in the uterus than anything else.

Baby bean also is very active at night- a set pattern already. How cool is that? I just feel all of these little pops like popcorn in there. It's very strange and there is nothing like it in the world.

I've been feeling the baby for a few days now (12 weeks) and felt it the first time around 17 weeks.

I never got that "fat women feel later" thing.....I mean, it's on the INSIDE right, so what does my fat have to do with anything. I mean, I can see if we are talking feeling on the OUTSIDE, but inside? DH couldn't feel the baby until after 30 weeks, I'm thinking maybe 32 weeks, but he wasn't very patient either!

We went hiking yesterday and the baby was uber-busy last night!

9 weeks here

I'm now 11 weeks, and have been feeling definite "butterfly wings" for the last 2. But this time I knew what to feel for, with Gracie I was told I wouldn't feel anything until 20 weeks and anything before that was gas- I was so sure I felt her around 16 though.

I think I was about 6.5 months with DS1 and 5.5 months with DS2, I think a lot of that had to do with my weight. I was about 100 lbs less with DS2 than DS1.

I started feeling this baby at 10.5 wks. It's not everday but every so often I feel the bumps. I love it.

About 18-20 weeks with my son, my first. I had actually been feeling movement for awhile, but I didn't know what it was. Then, the day after I stripped some wallpaper in the kitchen (and yes, my doctor had a couple words about that), I feel horrible abdominal pain. I had strained my muscles, which were loosening to begin with, but they put me on a fetal monitor for a bit to make sure everything was okay. We kept hearing these huge "whoosh" sounds, and a nurse came in and said, "Wow, he is really kicking in there. Are you feeling that?" And I realized I was!

With my daughter, I felt movement earlier, probably about 14 weeks. I was at the computer doing school work (I was still teaching), and I felt it. I remember just stopping and holding my stomach, tearing up, and hoping like mad it would happen again.

Haven't felt anything yet with this one. Assume I will in the next month or so.

With ds1, I started feeling him around 17-18 weeks. With ds2, I started feeling him at 12 weeks. I haven't felt this baby yet (11 1/2 weeks now).

Strange thing for me is that my babies seem to move most during the day! Go figure. I like that though... Never had any night/day issues with DS (granted, he was born very early and basically slept 24/7 for the first 10 weeks of life until he got close to his due date).

I just felt my baby yesterday. I am 11 weeks pregnant.

Ok, I am finally sure that I felt the baby move tonight! I am 14 weeks tomorrow. I think I may have felt it earlier, but I wasn't completely positive. Doing kegels always got my dd moving and it worked for this one, too.

In my first pregnancy I felt my daughter at 14 weeks.
In this pregnancy I felt the baby for the first time on sunday, at the end of the 9th week .

I felt them early, but with DS I posted to my blog about kicks at 15w, so I know i'd been feeling them for a good long while before then...I wouldn't have posted so surely otherwise

I've been feeling flutters for a couple weeks now...since 10w or so.

I'm in my 11th week and I really think I can feel the baby move - especially when my bladder is full. I get this brief, fluttery feeling right where my uterus is (and also my bladder), but I never felt such a thing before I was pregnant. this is my first baby and I'm about 50 lbs overweight, so it does blow the theory out of the water!

Oh my gooooodness! I kept thinking I was feeling the baby move but I was pretty sure 12 weeks was too early...but this is baby #4 (technically baby #5) so it IS possible? There really is no mistaken that feeling ya know??
