Yes, it is the crazy itchy thing ... basically it is like I have chicken pox or something - little angry red itchy dots ALL over my giant (already itchy) belly ... I got them my first pregnancy, too and they spread to my legs, and butt (oh, fun) so far this pregnancy they are sticking to my belly ... but still driving me crazy and making me even moodier than usual : The only real "cure" is to give birth ... but I have found some ways to cope and am hanging in there. Stupid, stinkin' PUPPPs ... :

In other (happier, less whiney?) news ... I finally posted a few recent belly shots to the MUCH neglected June MDC mamas flickr group today ... Sorry to have been so unfaithful about that, mamas

http://www.flickr.com/groups/june06mdcmoms/

It is set up as a private group, so you need an invite to join and see pics, (if you want an invite, just send me an email to knittyk@aol.com or PM me and I'll send one out) I think most of the photosharing mamas on here have their own flickr pages, but I know not everyone is comfortable with their pics being public, so that is why I set it up as private (not trying to exclude anyone here, I promise!)

donosmommy - glad that the babe is head down Will be sending good thoughts that you get that VBAC, mama

Thanks for your kind words about Boo Girl's baby list - she's ready, can you tell?

Well it's June 2nd. The day my DH has predicted the baby will come. It doesn't look promising although, it's only about 9am. : For the past 3 days I've had BH's pretty much all day. This morning I just feel lots of pressure. I'm sure the BH's will pick up within the next couple hours. : I just wish they were the real thing ya know. I mean, I wish I'd get SOME kind of sign to let me know it was the start of it. Like, losing my mucous plug, water breaking, something...anything!! I'm soooo ready to see this dc. I've been telling him/her everyday that's it's OK to come out now, we'd all like to meet the little sproutling. *sigh* I guess baby knows when baby is ready. Well, at least I know my EDD is only about a week away. *sigh*

I had a : morning, but am starting to get back on track. Even though my edd is a week away, I have three friends who were pregnant at the same time as me (all first-timers, too!) and every one of them went at least a week early. I realized today that I am one day beyond the most pregnant any of them were. It's tough, too, because when I call for support, they are all busy with their beautiful little ones (can't say I blame them)! Good thing I found this forum!
Anyway I decided to trick my little one by scheduling a facial for myself next week, pretending like I could care less when it comes. I'm secretly hoping it will try to foil my plans. Is it bad to use this kind of treachery before it's even born?

Ecomama, hope your little sproutling comes today

ok, so Kara you guilted me into posting more pics I'd actually forgotten about that group! So neat to see all the bellies....

so cxtns that lasted all day yesterday are completely gone But I am dilated to 4cm, so that's something good. Plus the small ctxns that i've had for the past month or so are feeling a bit stronger cuz he's pushing so hard on my cervix w/ each one. Hopefully that'll continue to dilate me. I have my next appt on Wed. of next week, so we'll see.

I really like the idea of scheduling something for next week and hoping that the baby comes first! LOL!!!

I'm still all good with being pregnant. I can sleep and all that good stuff. She's engaged, so there's a lot of pressure, and now when I walk I get weird groin pain. Not really pain, just...weird. Like if you bent a Barbie's legs all the way out to the side. I did have some contractions and other pre-labor symptoms over the past few days, but they quit. But there's more that I want to do to the house, and next week I have a hair appointment and a pediatrician interview (I slacked!). And another week to eat all the ice cream I can get my hands on would be OK. But people have started asking the "have you had the baby" question, and that makes me insane. And my husband's co-worker's wife was due the same day as me, and she just had hers today! Guess I lost that race

Well, today is techincally my edd ... but someone forgot to give the baby the message! It's only 12:45pm here, so there's still quite a bit of time. I have a mw appt for tonight at 7pm but was hoping to see her before then for the birth. On a good note, dh got all his notes and lesson plans done, and is coming home early today! He'll be off all next week and doesn't even have to worry about going in for any last minute stuff! Maybe knowing that I can relax and labor can start.

Well I've been having cntx for about an hour or so. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Actually, they're not even as strong as my normal BH's. *sigh* But they are coming pretty steadily. I guess I'm just being impatient about seeing this baby. It seems like we've been waiting an eternity!
