Who have you already told the news?

I've told 3 close friends & some online friends. I think we are going to talk about whether or not we are going to tell family. They were devestated after the last m/c.
Who & when are you going to tell?

Just a couple friends. The fam wont know for a while...but I want to tell them sometimes.
Oh! And my preceptor/midwife.

Well since I am still not 100% sure...I have told my sister that I MAY be and my dh of course. Other than that just you ladies.

When I do find out and if I am pg. I will likely wait for quite awhile with my dh's family and tell mine next month. My dh's mom can't keep her mouth shut and she lives close to us so I don't want the secret to get out until after the first trimester.

I hear ya about the in laws! Luckily, they are moving to Hawaii in July...but Dp says he wont tell them untill the baby is born! How funny....and disfunctional!
We're about to move...once we move i'll tell my fam.
DP last night I guess told everyone he works with.

I told my parents and he told his parents. Mine were ecstatic and his were a little subdued. My DH questioned at one point whether we should be telling so early, but my response was that this is still my baby no matter what happens and I want his/her life celebrated and acknowledged for the duration even if something horrible happens (God Forbid). We've also told some of our friends.

I told my DD (30mo) and she just kind of looked at me strange. I have told her that she was once itty bitty inside my tummy and she'll repeat that, but she doesn't seem all that excited yet about a new baby. She did say that she'd share the jug juice (BM) with the baby.

Let's see... I've told Mark, Jeff, Missy, Jayme, Amber, Ed, Kelly, Doug, Ryan, Dave, Brenda, Krissy, Gamma, Steve, and a random woman I had just met. I have a lot of friends, and it was kind of obvious when I stopped the social smoking and turned down the alcoholic beverages. I've also told all the people from chats (the father and I are in the same chat rooms throughout the day so we told everybody together).

Two of the people mentioned above are family, but they're actually keeping it secret.

The father and I are both keeping it a secret from our parents for as long as humanly possible. Considering he has A LOT of family in the area, I don't know exactly how long that's going to happen. We give it 2 weeks to get back to his mother. My parents don't live in the area, and I haven't spoken with them in a few months, so it's possible they won't find out until well after the baby's born.

I guess we're all pretty new to this forum...congrats to everyone.
We just found out last week that we are expecting so we haven't told anyone..we plan on telling both sides of the family on father's day...we figure that is early enough..I'll be 7 weeks by then...
I may tell a few friends because I just want to tell someone..and I told all the ladies on the 30 TTc#1 forum here....
I called the midwife office today and they need to get back to me once they've checked their availability and whether or not they can take me on..I figure I called early enough so there shouldn't be a problem...

I've told DH of course! Online friends and one IRL friend..After I get a few more positives we'll probably tell people at church.

I'm debating when to tell my in-laws. We get along well but we're selling our house and moving into a smaller house and I basically don't want to hear "You're going to be so cramped! How will you survive?? You're going to be miserable!!!!" etc etc from MIL..I also want to make sure to tell all my in laws when they're together!! When I got pg with DD MIL told my SIL's before I could get the chance..Kinda ticked me off..We're the ones having the baby, not her!!!

My parents will be here for a short visit next week so I get to tell them in person!!! YAY!! Excited about that!!

So far, my MIL, my mom, a lady at church nursery, a few friends, my duplex neighbors, and a cashier at Trader Joes. She is sweet and we were talking. I ended up mentioning it when this old man came up and saw me stuffing my gracery bag into the back of my double jogger with my 2 kids in it and said jokingly-"My!what would you do if you had three??!!" to which I said"Well, I'll see next February!' He looked pretty shocked, like he didn't expect that answer. Then the cashier and I went on about how I would need a triple jogger.

Took a blood test at my naturopath and it was negative. I guess those lousy cheapy tests fooled me. That or I lost a babe. Either way

we wanted to wait a while to tell everyone..........soooo couldn't do that, but at least wanted to wait to tell coworkers at my husband's office. I told one of my friends, she told her daughter (she's 7) ...no problem right? wrong...she went to school and told a friend of my daughter's. She went home and told her mom, who coincidentally works with my husband. She went to work and started asking ?s. The dirt you learn in first grade, huh?
It's funny to me. The only thing i hesitate on is the reason we chose not to say anything in his office is because one of his coworker had a mc a few mos ago and just found out she's pg again...due in late jan. Well, friday she learned she mc'd again. I didn't want her to have to deal with it right now.

other than that......we've told everyone. We've been trying for quite a while and we're just so thrilled that it's hard to keep quite.

We're slowly telling people here and there but not everyone yet. My 3yo spilled the beans to my mom a few days ago. I was planning on telling her that day anyway, but my 3yo beat me to it. My mom had come over for lunch, and my dd blurts out in this sweet soft voice, "My mommy's going to have a baby, and I hope it's a boy". My mom was pretty surprised I think, as we were totally talking about something else at the time.... totally out of the blue.:-) My kids are so excited about it, that I probably won't end up getting to tell many people myself!

we wanted to wait for a month or so to start telling people- but I couldn't wait.

So we made my 2 year old a T-shirt using an iron on transfer that said "big brother in training" with a cute pic of a big teddy holding a little teddy...

the inlaws got it right away- my mom took a few minutes to understand lol

I am trying to figure out when to tell work- as I am already starting to feel pretty sick (last night I just had to to go to bed I was so nausious).

We have told my immediate family and most of our friends. We're waiting to tell Julieanne's family and my extended family, mainly because we don't know how they will respond, and we want the chance to enjoy the news before dealing with any non-supportive people.

i've told my online friends and that's it. Hubby wants to wait until after my doctor's apt next week to tell our parents. I just hope it is a positive responce!

I've told my dp and...you guys I wanted to wait a little since it's very early. That and I'm still revelling in this delicious little secret However, my parents are coming over today so we'll see if I can keep it quiet.

Wow, y'all make me feel so much better! Keeping secrets is NO FUN for me. We've not told a single soul yet beyond this forum. It's mainly b/c i don't have health insurance and won't until late August and our families will worry so much...and also there's always that fear of an early mc. My folks are coming to visit in a few weeks and i'm dying to tell them.

Good news for me. We are not BFP again. We have two precious children, and I would not mind another one. The timing was really off to have one right now. Anyway. Sorry I kind of stopped the thread after my rant.
