way TMI, my turn

this is soooo embarrassing. i can't bring myself to ask anyone else about this, so here goes...

ever since i had alice (natural birth, no tears, pushed twice, easy), i *ahem* catch air. i get air in my vagina. there, i said it. :

this happens when i am laying on my side, when i'm in yoga class, and when i'm, you know, on top. my dh and i just laugh about it, but it's uncomfortable and in yoga class, embarrassing. (the air has to come back out, ya know.)

so. experienced moms. will this go away with time, or do i need to go back to doing my kegels religiously?

thanks.

definitely keep doing kegels but yes...sadly...that is common. yet another one of life's cruel jokes. give the woman the power to create life, but by golly make sure it leaves her hooha the size of a windsock able to queef in a single split. pft. i'm writin a letter to the editor. :

I've always gotten the odd bubble in there from time to time, is that atypical?

I had "that kind of gas" for a few months after ds was born. I would go running & it would come out of there. Now it's just when I do positions that get air in there, if you know what I mean

Nope, Simone, I can remember this "phenomenon" even before childbirth, but it did become more frequent for me afterward.

Thankfully, my DH has a sense of humor that's still stuck in junior high school, so he finds it funny...

Heh. Before Carys I wondered why there was a word like queef. Now I know.
Oh lordy, I know I'm not reading this...

Queef. Hahaha!
My DH calls them something else. He's vulgar, he calls them PFs (you figure it out). :
I like queef, hehe!
The windsock thing is pretty good too, but I'll never admit to having one of those!

I know that word queef, but I would have guessed I made it up. Where DID we hear it?

It has gone away, but did anybody else's queefs just KILL after the birth for a while?

Holy Cow! LMAO!

I'm right there with ya, sister. I just tell DH, "Yeah, that's right. I'm sexy."

thanks for helping me keep my sense of humor about this, ladies!
omg, this thread has me totally laughing out loud!!! this happened to me during yoga (before childbirth) but not since. now aren't i the odd one?
This isn't a new happening for me, either - but it is why i refues to take a yoga class......
seriously, i'm laughing like a fool here... because you ladies crack me up!!!

and yeah, it's because misery loves company

i remember the first time that happened i was completely, COMPLETELY mortified. but now, dh just laughs and i do as well. for me, it's only after certain kinds/stlyes of encounters. but, i don't do yoga. i could totally see that being an issue though!

a quiff I use to know a girl in highschool that could make herself quiff, it was GROSS but funny.

Wow! I'm not the only one. What a relief! I could never have brought this up myself, so thanks persephone!

it happened to me in college right after dtd with my now husband. the "best" part was that we laughed so hard about it that i peed. right there on the bed. nice. i'm sure my hooha must have seemed like a damn alien to dave after that. and certainly not very inviting. :

SInce having kids, that happens to me sometimes, but only during sex in certain positions. It's kind of annoying.
