I have a confesion, I dont CD. Until Now :

My dh had put his foot down on my CDing last year b/c I had a laundry problem. I would only do it once a week when it was outta control. In my dfense I hate laundry.
I had some dipes last eyar given to me by a MDC mama by my boys quickly grew outta them.
But I have learned to get my problem under control, and we finally said yes on Friday.

I am pg, babe due late Jan and I obviously need a NB stash, but I also have 2 toddlers. Connor is almost 3 and we are trying to potty learn but it isnt going to well.

Greg is 16 months and there are no plans for potty learning anytime soon

I need info on what to stash up for new baby, and what to get for the boys.
I am really not to keen on wool b/c my dh does help with the laundry and has a tendency to shrinking wool.
I do know most of the lingo.

Any info on sotring before washing would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Is cost a factor.. I know for me if I was having to diaper three Id eaither go with some one size like a mother ease stash or prefolds just due to cost.

Yes cost is a factor, I am more than willing to get my dipes off the TP or eBay
I am not too concerned with the NB ones as of yet, I have awhile to build up my stash, but its the boys that I need ASAP

both my boys weigh about 28 pounds if that helps

There are tons of options for your NB! My favorites are pockets though. I love how i can customize the absorbancy.

For your potty trainer, you need to get some good trainers! I really prefer myCloth Thoughts trainers because of the trim fit, and how darn cute they are. There are SO many options with them too.

If you do decide on one size get one in a few your considering and try them on I know my 3.5 year old out grew her MEOS and wonderoos at about 2.5 years and about 25 lbs she out grew the rise mostly. I'd maybe look into some large Motherease sandys and Me Air flow covers for your older ones. For a PT little one these could be pulled up and down. and they fit many body shapes well.

There is a forum over there and many people selling there for less.
The other I'd consider are simple prefolds and wraps.

man i wish i had known and was starting from scratch. i would have got for my toddler those diapers that you can snap for poopy accidents and pulldown when they want to use the potty. it would have been really nice for going out places. they grow so fast as babies, but my son has been wearing medium fuzzibunz for like a year now.

with this next baby i hope to try prefolds and covers to save money (see my thread about it!) how cool that you can try a few things on your older kids before the baby gets here. since you have more than one kid it will be such a good investment. i love how much money we have saved with just our first!

ok i can't vouch for these but how cool. i would want something like this. you could pull them up and down like underwear. i can't tell you how many times my son had to wear a diaper when out during potty training, but needed to pee so i had to take off his whole diaper. or i thought he was doing well and so we brought underwear and regretted it!

edited b/c posted wrong link....silly clipboard.

We have the snap EZ AIO trainser they are our preschool diaper. the pros
1) cute
2) leak proof they work well even through a long nap
3) comfy and easy to use/ preschool friendly

Cons
1) hard to get they go fast
2) price at around $18 each these can be a big time expense
3) inners are not natural (mine are velour) and dd gets a bit red in in them all the time.

the up and down thing was why I suggested the ME sandys but if you do go with something fancier like the snap EZ you'll love them also.
here is a picture of my DD in one of her snap EZ AIO befoe I got her dressed for school.

I think this one was a 2t it was a little low in the rise she fits the 3t's better..

I would say go with prefold or flats and some type of cover, like prowraps for your newborn, that would be the most cost efficient. Then for the boys do some kind of pocket like wonderoos, just try one or two and see how they fit and then go from there, that way when they potty train you can pass them down to the new baby faster because they are one size. I used them on my dd from about 2-3 months and they also fit my other dd that is 3 1/2 (although she is potty trained, but they still fit her)...and then you could resuse the profolds or flats then buy using them as inserts in the pockets. I have a few wonderoos that i'm looking to get rid of if you did want to try them, they are all actually boy colors too, one is a sailboat print :-) Good luck...but the main thing i would say try different things before you stash up on a bunch of one thing.
