discharge TMI sorry...Update

Ok so a few weeks ago I had some burning and itching and I went to my OB who said it was yeast and she prescribed a topical steroid cream and an internal cream but I didn't use either because I have had yeast infections in the past and this didn't feel like one and I hate to use meds while pg because I used antibiotics while pg with my dd and she has multiple food allergies which I contribute to my antibiotic use. So I stopped using pantyliners and for the most part the burning and itching has gone away. So now for the past few days my white discharge has now turned yellow and so now I am sort of freaking out. I am going to call my OB first thing in the morning. From what I am reading a yellow discharge is a sign of infection and if I do have an infection they are going to prescribe me antibiotics. Has anyone ever heard of a yellow discharge that is normal? I guess I should mention that my urine has been cloudy for about a week and a half but I have no symptoms of a UTI so I have not thought much about it. What do you ladies think?
Thanks,
Amy

I've had cloudy urine off an on this pregnancy--but no signs of anything unusual. The only thing I can think of with the yellow discharde would be maybe a little urine mixed in? Larger uterus pressing on bladder, a drop of urine coming out unknowingly maybe? As gross as this sounds...I can see a difference in what is in my underware from early in the day vs later in the day...IE, as it 'sits' until next shower...
If you aren't showing any other symptoms--no pain, foul smell, itching, etc, I wouldn't go to the Dr. I also don't think it is related to baby...
I'm no doctor tho--go if it makes you feel more at ease...

My discharge is always kind of yellow when I'm pregnant. I think it's because my body is excreting extra B vitamin from my prenatals. If you have a yeast infection you can douche with gentian violet. It's messy but I've heard it's very effective.

my discharge was neon yellowish green with my dd. They looked at it under a microscope cause they said it looked aweful and like I had something very bad. It looked perfectly healthy. just an odd color. It was gross though.

My cervical mucus discharge is normally yellow (when not pregnant and during pregnancy).

But what you described for your yeast infection does sound exactly like how I get them, and I think it's a good idea to treat a yeast infection in some manner (natural methods are great), as yeast infections can allow bacteria to move in, and bacterial vaginosis (BV) can cause pretern labor, prom, etc. I was diagnosed with a yeast infection at 10 weeks, and the doc found some BV there too. He said that clearing up the yeast would likely clear up the BV though.

Thanks everyone!
I went in to see my OB this morning and she took a sample and looked at it under the microscope and said it is yeast. She is still going to send in the culture just in case but she thinks it is just yeast. I also gave them a urine sample that they are going to test. She prescribed me some topical cream to use but said that it is not an overwhelming amount of yeast so no internal cream is needed. I am going to hold off on the cream and try some Acidophilus w/FOS for a few days and see if that helps. Any other natural suggestions?
Thanks,
Amy
