Not necessarily. It depends how the organs were affected and in what order. For instance, if the liver was the first organ affected then the skin *could* have been next before the pancreas, spleen etc. Since the liver is the organ of detoxification, hte skin would be the next in line.

Also, many times with systems that are less bogged down (kids) the organs push things to the skin first as a warning. In that case it would simply go from the compromised gut directly to the skin. Left untreated the issue will then be driven deeper into other organs. This is why we worry about eczema. Left untreated (or supressed with steroid creams) it will often be driven into the lungs and progress to asthma. It depends on many things. The only thing you can be sure of is that the skin is almost never the first symptom...the gut damage will almost always come first.

The craving wheat is a concern. With these things you generally do look to what the body is calling out for to see what to eliminate. That is, if you are going to eliminate. There are of course many paths here.

Are you under constitutional care with a homeopath? I think I know where you are at in this journey from other posts you have made as well. That may be a better option for you at this point given your thought process and beliefs. I know you know a lovely woman that works over the phone....

When DS1 was 18 months old he was diagnosed with SID (Sensory Integration Disorder). At the time there was some question of Autism and in my research I learned about the GFCF diet. He was then diagnosed with SID but I always had the idea of the GFCF diet in mind, as an option to try ...
He has come a long way, but has some really nasty and agressive tendencies - which didnt seem to really be HIM - he really is a gentle person. He also would FREAK out about the smallest things. I walked on eggshells for years. So I decided to at least try going dairy free.
He is like a different child. Patient, not flipping out. For months we kept saying "It cant be the dairy thing, it just cant make this much difference" and we would try some dairy... and sure enough, he would start again. So we know now that that is what it is.

Adding on - I had him food allergy tested and he is not allergic to dairy.
