shooting daddy's fival

Get this. Last night Evan told DH he was going to go to the store and get a gun and shoot off his legs. WTH?? DH was flabbergasted and asked him where in the world he heard something like that. Evan said, "Fival." -- as in An American Tail. Huh? So I thought about it, and I figured it out. We've been listening a lot to the Beatles, and Rocky Raccoon is his favorite and there's a line about "Daniel had come, equipped with a gun, to shoot off the legs of his rival."

We try so hard to avoid violent stuff in our house and Evan latches on to a line in a Beatles song!

This is so funny. DH and I will have to change our habits of making up our own words to the songs we listen to, once Cailan is old enough to start repeating what we say.

Isn't it amazing how they find the ONE *bad* thing out of millions of sentences/ideas/thoughts they hear every day??

Wow! I can believe it though. DH likes watching "Deal or No Deal" & now dd will shout, "Deal or no Deal" & "Open the case, Bishop" (her brother).
