What are you buying this time?

Thread Starter
I got rid of all of my baby things last time, and I'm going to have to start from scratch (darn, lol). I'll need a pouch and a diaper bag, clothes, maybe diapers. Oh, and I'll make some blankets and knit some longies, too.

What are you getting this time?
Nothing except NB/small cloth diapers. We still have everything else from before. If it's a boy, we'll need boy clothes, but that's about it.

I still have everything from before. I will need some more newborn/small diapers. I will probably get a new sling just for the heck of it. We will need another Britax carseat for when the baby outgrows the infant seat, but that will be around 5-6 months old. Oh, and in the unlikely event we have a girl we will need some girl clothes.

Swing, bassinet or possibly make an ambi bed (I don't want to cosleep with an infant and toddler until the baby is a bit older) and carseat.

Onesis, carseat, swinger, bed for my toddler, bottles, and diaper bags.

Here is my list so far...

Breastpump (I borrowed the last one and she sold it after I gave it back)

Microwave sterilizer for the pump parts

bouncer chair

"Swaddle Me" blankets'

double stroller

Britax car seat

A few tiny newborn sleepers

and some new slings

Actually my SIL is having a baby 6 months before me, so I probably won't have to buy anything, just borrow her stuff instead.

New bouncy chair
a REAL diaperbag (DS has a 5 dollar canvas tote)
nursing bras, if I can find any :
New pump, I was hard on my poor harmony. but it held up to pumping for 15m at work!
Probably nipples and more bottles, if I'm working still *sigh*

New sling
2 dressers for master bedroom for baby's stuff (I have a plan. muhahha!)

mom and I are sewing a new bassinet skirt/liner thing when she visits next month
sewing mama cloth and nursing pads

new wipes, wetbags for baby (donating DS's as soon as he PTs)

Anything hanna I can get my grubby paws on!

Oh, and currently DS has one britax, and one crap carseat.
We have 2 bases and a baby bucket....which DS outgrew at like 4m.
So we will need MORE carseats....

Probably another britax for DS until #2 outgrows the bucket, and then upgrade DS to a booster...he'll be big enough then I think!

I've given away almost all the baby stuff from the previous pregnancies...it's the only sure way I know of conceiving the next child

I have my maternity clothes and nursing bras and lots of baby blankets and baby toys. But I'll need baby clothes and dipes. My toddler's dipes will be stored away, when he decides he's done, for when this baby is older and bigger.

Even if I hadn't given away everything, I'd probably need to restock this time, as both my boys were summer babies, not a Decemberling like this one is supposed to be.

Oh, darn, I'm gonna have to go shopping for baby things. :

I have nothing! I was so done. Tee hee hee, yep another way to get pregnant for sure. I'll need, car seat, jump stroller, pack n' play (to keep baby safe from siblings while baby rests) and all the clothes and diapers. Oh, and I have zero maternity clothes, and I will get HUGE. But I plan on buying none of the crap we had for the first few, Cribs(never used), exersaucers (from grandparents), the list could be endless. We're the only breeders on both sides of the family, so our kids get lots of 'gifts'.

Some new nursing bras....mine are totally trashed.
A swing (we borrowed one last time).
A new sling.
DIAPERS! Woohoo!
Some clothing, I have some from when dd was born, but she was an August baby.

I need more nursing bras, too. It's nice to look at them all worn out and feel good about the two years of use they've gotten! I wonder how long the average mom uses a nursing bra...

This time I'm getting a backpack diaperbag for sure. I'm so tired of the cheapie one shoulder one I have.

We'll probably get a double stroller, too. I'm hoping people will chip in a little for one if they want to get us a gift. I definitely don't want a shower, though.

I don't really need a new sling, but I'd like one, so I think I will spring for a new one.

I'm also considering getting one of those Snuggle Nests for cosleeping. I didn't have one with DS, but there was one night when I half asleep thought he was my body pillow, and put my leg over him. I woke up right away and moved, but it did freak me out a bit. We continued cosleeping (and loved it), but now the prospect of an infant in bed with us again keeps bringing that incident back into my mind.

Really only 2 things... a sling, which I am going to attempt to make myself, I've found some patterns and instructions online, so we'll see!

And possibly a co-sleeper. I'm not jazzed about shelling out the bucks for one so I might try to track one down that I could possibly borrow or something.

Other than that, boy or girl, I'm good on gear.

I've also given allmost all newborn stuff away to a friend of a friend who had a really bad social status. I still have cloth diapers, but they are one size and I'm planning to buy a stash of newborn CD. I'm from Slovenia and you can't get newborn CD here, but my cousin who works in the States will send them to me .

I'm also planning to buy a pouch. I have a wrapband from my daughter, but I really want another pouch.

I am going to attempt to make a MT
I need a booster seat for ds#1
I want to buy a new rocking chair for me...

i have all my stuff from my last two but they were both spring babies. So I will need some winter clothes (w/ no snaps or buttons bcs dh has arthritis) so I have started searching now bcs those are few and far between.
I will also get a sit and stand stroller soon bcs ds 1 won't ride in the stroller any more but still needs a break. THen when ds2 is too big he can go on the back and the babe can go in the seat. I also need newborn cloth diapers. We have always used a diaper service in the first couple of months but now dh's arthritis has gotten bad and fitteds w/ a wool cover are easier to change then pre-folds.

We need:

A carseat for DD#2, the new babe will use her Roundabout.
Cloth Diapers - I don't own a single one.
Wetbag and wipes.
Clothes (although I'm not real worried about that)
Nursing bra (maybe, just a bra that works for nursing, doesn't have to be special)
Sling
I need to get new nursing bras, as it looks like I'll be a bigger cup size than last time. I settled into a DD last time, and never went back down (DS is still nursing once on each side per day). I've already grown to slightly between E and F (and I guess DD and E are the same thing, but sometimes they aren't? Confusing). I imagine I'll probably be a G at least when it's all over.

I need to make a new sling, since I gave mine away to a friend who REALLY needed it. I could easily get it back, I'm sure, but I already have some fabric to make a natural colored one, and I will like that better than the blue/green plaid I used for the other one (it was the first one I ever made - $1/yd fabric).

I need size small cloth diapers. With DS, I switched to sposies after a few months, and he was JUST outgrowing newborn size at that point (he was 4 lbs 12 oz when he came home, so it took a while to outgrow newborn). I already have mediums that DS started wearing when we switched back at 14 months.

And if it's a girl, I need CLOTHES!

We're ok on carseat... We have an extra one for the truck that we'll just move to the van when baby outgrows the infant seat.

Well, this is my first and close friends around me either have newborns or gave everything away, so I need a bunch of stuff. This thread has been helpful! I do have a few onsies! So . . . carseat, cds, sling/pouch, crib or something for naps, breast pump (for when I go back to work), some baby clothes, and ?? I am going to start knitting some baby stuff as soon as I get done with friend's baby gifts.
