Sure, I'd be happy to share sling making instructions. The first one I made was a Maya Wrap style, using the instructions on
their website. It's ok, but I like the one from
Sleeping Baby alot better (she has TONS of sewing instructions for various baby related items). The pleats are more comfortable to me than the folded shoulder of the Maya Wrap. Both are ring slings. I got welded rings from a horse supply company online, and just got extras to make slings as baby gifts and such (plus they make great fabric weights!

). DS plays with them alot, so they're also good toddler toys.

I also make Mei Tais, which are great for that stage where baby wants to stiffen and fall out of the sling.

You can wear baby on your back, even if they're less than a year old (including newborns!). Slings are quicker/easier to put on, and Mei Tais are more secure, so it's a tradeoff.
I haven't tried making a pouch type sling, but will probably do that one of these days. You can never have enough baby carriers, right?!?
