Top 10 list, ways to definitely get pregnant.

So a lot of these December babies seem to be suprises so I thought it might be fun to compose a list of all the "resons" we got pregnant. (O.K. we all know the real reason but....)

Rachel's top 10 list.
#1-don't try
#2-loose weight
#3-get a hair cut (seriously every time I donate to locks of love, I get a little gift in return)
#4-get a new job
#5-swear up, down, and sideways to everyone who asks that you are done.
#6-give away all the baby stuff and maternity clothes in the house.
#7-totally agree to DP taking a $10,000 a year pay cut so he can leave his job
#8-move into a smaller house
#9-start feeling and acting like your old naughty self again
#10-tease all your pregnant friends and family members " better you than me"

Make mama cloth!

I finially got around to making my own pads, and made like 20...and never got my period! Doh!

Buy a Diva cup or Keeper or (if you're so inclined) a HUGE box of tampons or pads.

Give away all your baby stuff and maternity clothes.

But, my absolute favorite...have lots and lots of sex!

Have all family be sick, so you aren't even sure that you HAD sex in March at all (still mulling this one over *lol*)

Tell Dh that you have babyitis and when you will be ovulating at the begining of March and that in order to NOT get pregnant he needs to be sure that he wears a condom especially if the babyitis and ovulating wife says "oh it will be fine" b/c remember she is ovulating and has babyitis!

So yeah Dh obviously didn't listen to this advice I gave him and here we are 12 weeks pregnant!

#2: Plan on getting pregnant in several months when some bills are paid off and I have saved up some time for maternity leave.

step one, be too poor to afford another child right now.
step two, don't have sex.
step three, don't have a period for three years
step four, if you do have sex once that month, wear a condom.
step five, tell your pregnant best friend, "if you play with fire, you're going to get burned" then get to hear it a few weeks later when you find out you're pregnant.
step six, tell everybody you're not pregnant and not sure you want another, at least not for a year or two.
step seven, ignore your kid when she tells you you're pregnant.

Trust me, the Courey method sited here works like a charm.

1. Get really, really sick in March.
2. Let your husband convince you to have sex, while sick and on Robetussin for your cold.
3. Allow your husband to convince you that if you have sex two times in a row, you can't possibly get pregnant.


Did I mention that I was in a cold induced haze? Did I mention that the baby hungry person in this couple was my HUSBAND? Remind me not to listen to him from now on.

1. start charting to avoid pregnancy, because bc pills are making you insane.

2. have sex 5 -count em again- 5 days before you ovulate.

3. Throw your basal thermometer in the trash!!!

#1 - start telling people about your 1.5 year plan ... 'we'll probably start trying next summer' - yah right

#2 - finally get yourself convinced that you're young, there's still time...no hurry, when it happens, it happens...

#3 - get a new job (with benefits that aren't great)

#4 - lose weight

#5 - have sex without a condom EXACTLY at suspected time of ovulation (okay...well that one makes sense!) :

Not from your due date club, but I had to respond to this one.

I had bought 100 pregnancy tests on ebay after I had my daughter in 2003. I refused the birth control my doctor offered because I was afraid of how it would effect my milk production and my boyfriend at the time hated protection.

Fast forward a couple years. In 2005 I got married to my wonderful hubby and our first month we were trying for #2. That month I used the last of my 100 pregnancy tests and not one of them were ever positive. I had to go to the dollar store to buy one the get this little positive.

So that rule didn't hold true for me.

explain to people that you are bf dc#1 too much to get pregnant, when they ask you in droves when you are going to "have another"
be surprized when dc#1 bites instead of nurses for no "apparent" reason

We were TTC (and I'm apparently fertile myrtle ), but this one helped us along too! I ended up using mama cloth twice, and some of the pads I made never got used! That's ok though. I was making them in hopes that I wouldn't need them the following week!

Yes, this fertility method worked for us TWICE. I had just bought the smaller size keeper that I used ONCE before getting preg with DS. Finally, I broke down and bought the larger size this time and didn't use it at all...

1.TTC for a couple of months with no luck, then decide to take a few months off- to save some money and plan for a SPRING baby.

2. Be sarcastic while doing the deed:
Him: Are you ovulating?
Me (who told him I was ovulating the day before): What do you think?
