HELP... I can't stop

I am obsessively sewing diapers. I keep making more and more and I can't stop. I definitely have a sufficient (actually obscene) n/b stash, but I am not sure if I should be done with my smalls and move to mediums. I have 12 small DD AIO's, 7 Prefitteds, 7 small mamabird fitteds & 4 small DD pocket fitteds. Oh, and I am going to have knit wool soakers for over the fitteds. Does that sound like enough? -- I usually wash every other day.

I also don't know if I should make a whole bunch of medium AIO's. I haven't even used AIO's before, but I love this DD pattern and my smalls are turning out great (well they look great at least!!) We are planning to move cross country shortly after the baby comes, so I know I will be very busy and not have a lot of time for sewing diapers. I think I will make maybe 6 or so medium AIO's and 6 or so medium pocket fitteds so that at least I have the start of a stash, but I am afraid if I make a whole stash of something we won't end up liking that particular thing.... but then again, now I have the time and am on a roll. What should I do???

Seriously I am completely obsessed with sewing diapers. AND.... my long coveted snap press should be arriving tomorrow

I love sewing diapers, way more than I thought I would. dh keeps asking me when I'm going to be done sewing them because I keep buying more material and stuff. Hah!

You have a bigger small stash than I do, but we're planning on mostly prefold and covers for Little Baby (due in July). For small stuff, I have 8 small covers, 6 small Very Baby AIO's, and six fitteds, and then 36 cpfs. I decided to move on to mediums because I'm not sure how much sewing time I'll have with a newborn and an 18 month old.

Sew mediums. With a move and other kids, plus a baby, I bet you will like them well enough.

I ended up buying most of mine, no time to sew for a baby who moved into mediums too fast! I regret not sewing more ahead of his birth.

Yes, I'd make several mediums now, as you most likely won't have the time when you need them. However, with other kids, I also encourage a large-ish stash of smalls. I probably went overboard with mine, but I never "ran out" of diapers, no matter that the entire household had the flu, or when we traveled, or were throwing a wedding shower in my house, or whatever kept me from the laundry for more than my "usual" time. And little tiny babies can poop more often, and you're more tired immediately post partum, too. So, yes, go on to the mediums and then if you have the energy, get yourself just a little bit of a safety net with the smalls. THat's my opinion. HAVE FUN!
