"Mobile Buffet" .... I'd wear a shirt like that! Haha, that'd be awesome.
i can get derek to make you pretty much any shirt you want

EVC----the "die die die" is hilarious! I never thought about it like that. Maybe I'll teach MY kids some Russian, ha ha, since I speak it. They can tell each other to give stuff and I can sit back and have a laugh at their expense.

OK, the T-shirt idea is cool Ryleeee. I'd love black with green lettering. If you post the particulars I'll bet you get some orders.

Too quiet downstairs. Gotta run!

derek said he could put something on the back of the shirt or underneath "i am NOT a mainstream mom" like: (so don't even bother) () which i think would be really funny. where would i post particulars?

T-shirts! Great idea! I am not a mainstream mom even though I may look it...can I get one that says that?

I have been trying to get a tshirt made for my DH that has the company logo on it and all the places I tried want orders minimum 10..what's up with that.

oh...mobile buffet...that's perfect...that on the front, not mainstream on the back

Haye has the coolest name ever...no one will ever forget it! I absolutely love it! Let it roll of your back sweetie...karma is sweet.

gotta run!

you should make a few, take some pics and make a web page...

I am not sure what you are allowed to post, I would check the user agreement but certainly post for us.

I want one that says "discipline gently, children are people too" or something along those lines...

"Teach, don't hit" is another one..or maybe on the same shirt, on the back.

There are so many possibilities!

Cheers

absolutely Putting them in your etsy store is a great idea!

I thought of another gd one

"Kids are not for hitting, discipline gently" With a pic of a sweet baby face! Maybe people could send in a pic of their own sweet kids and you could customize them.

Hey Ryleeee---I have the best idea EVER for a t-shirt, especially for those of us living in conservative hell, USA. How about:

up mainstream without a paddle!

Do you think people would understand it? I HAVE to have a t-shirt like this!! Black with red letters, really in-your-face. Or no, make that red with black letters! Or better yet, tie-dye with black letters!

The mainstream-ism here is hideous.

I can't wait to see the shirts!

How about a vax shirt? "Know the facts before you vax" on the front, then a list of the nasty vax ingredients on the back. It could be non-confrontational, yet thought provoking.

I'm pretty intimidated by the fact that everyone knows each other so well already.
They're a pretty friendly bunch here, so dive right in

I'd really like to see more smiles around.
Oh, I remember that well. Heh, 6 months in America and my dh is STILL suspicious of people who are smiling.

I've had to teach DH how to smile for pictures. Everyone in his family looks like they're posing for a mug shot when they have pics taken. LOL my sister figured out a surefire way to get him to smile, instead of saying smile she says "POOP!" LOL I know totally something a 5 year old would do, but hey, it does make him laugh. Why is it though that their culture doesn't smile much? I've never known why.

They think it makes you look insincere...or stupid. They also hate the American greeting "How are you?" I've tried to explain to dh that it's just another way of saying "Hello" but he doesn't understand why people would ask a question if they don't want an answer.

ok - I am "american" and I've always thougth that was the dumbest greeting ever.
especially when you arn't doing so well.. it's hard to answer : "uhm - not too good actually, I've been kinda depressed about this last 15 pds of baby weight and I had a fight with DH about weather or not I'm entitled to an hour or 2 out ofthe house without him or the kids... but other that .. ok i guess"

i don't ask people how they are unless i am prepared to stay and listen to how they actually are.
i HATED at bible school when people asked how i was on my way by just assuming i was great when really i wanted to tell them exactly what i was thinking.

oh, i went to bible school, did i tell you guys that? that's where derek and i met.

it's pouring rain here. yuck. i want to go downtown today. i have to get derek a father's day present and return a video to the library.

oh man. i laid down with haye for a nap at about 10:15 (he fell asleep at 10) and read harry potter and the order of the phoenix (i'm only on chapter 17 and have to have it finished on july 4!) until 10:35. then haye woke up at 10:54. great. 20 minutes of napping. ugh. and half way through my "nap" i woke up and looked at the clock and thought (wow! it's only 10:41! i get to sleep for at least 9 hours! oh...wait....why is there light outside? sh#t it's f&*%#@* morning.) :

Yeah actually I dont get the "how are you" either unless they really mean it as a question. I say it all the time, but I really do want an answer. lol even if the answer isn't the standard "good" wry - I know what you mean about that one. Hmm got 80lbs to loose, splitting up with dh... how do you think am I doing? I duno, seems kinda rude to ask how someone is then not really care to hear how they actually are doing.
poor ryleee!! I've been there! LOL ! night and day start to blend together when taking care of our babies!
I would feel sorry for you .. but with 2 kids on competly different napping scheduales ... I'm still drooling over the part where you said :
"i laid down with haye for a nap "

ahhhhh I'll be over it on saturday when DH lets me go to bed after he gets home from the gym (cross your fingers folks!!)

Maybe Haye will take a nice long nap later inthe afternoon??
I just don't take it literally It is pretty dumb when you think about it, so I just consider it synonymous with "Hi" and leave it at that

So any Father's Day plans?
