Someone was asking about Domperidone during pregnancy for low supply. Specifically for pregnancy, there is very little data whether it's good or bad. Dr. Hale does not list any risk category for it during pregnancy, but Domperidone is considered an L1 safetest category for breastfeeding.
This is from the manufacturer's data safety sheet. Though it sounds
: this is actually a very mild warning.http://www.medsafe.govt.nz/Profs/Dat...otiliumtab.htm
|Use in Pregnancy
There are limited post-marketing data on the use of domperidone in pregnant women. A study in rats has shown reproductive toxicity at a high, maternally toxic dose. The potential for humans is unknown. Therefore, MOTILIUM should only be used during pregnancy when justified by the anticipated therapeutic benefit.
I would consider taking it during pregnancy, but I am afraid it probably wouldn't do much good. Most of the low supply there is due to high levels of estrogen. If anyone tries it, I would be intereseted to know the results.
