Feb. 06 moms--june thread - Page 2

Pauline, if your sheets will allow you can firmly shove pillows, turned long-ways, UNDER the fitted sheet to the side(s) of where baby is sleeping. This way it's not so unsafe for them to get up next to the pillow and plus they won't scoot the pillows off and then roll off. Not that that ever happened to my DD . Shortly after that we put the bed on the floor (on the box spring, so it wasn't too excruciatingly low). Will probably do the same once DS starts crawling. I also need to move my nightstand further from the bed asa[, b/c they can get stuck between furniture and the bed.

I am visiting my parents and realized that DS really doesn't nap much unless he's in my arms or in the car. I don't mind most of the time, it's kind of nice to watch TV while he hangs out sleeping (gee, I'd love to do housework, but I've got this baby on me...). I need to try to teach him to take at least one nap a day on his own, though. I think around lunchtime would be the one to work on....

Hugs,
Carol

Where have I been? I haven't even seen this thread. I just started one like it because I wondered where everyone was! Somehow MDC deleted my account, so I had to start over. I'm sick about it . Ava is good, but has been very crabby the past week or so. Maybe it's teething, I don't know. She does drool more, and chews on her hands. It makes me feel like she's starving all the time! I'm pretty worn out by it.
Since my old user name doesn't seem to exist anymore, I guess I'll start a new account as ~lioneyes~ again.

What a sweetie pie! Gabriella is doing the same thing as Ava. She drools a river, is always chewing on her hands, and she's always hungry! We;ve been battling reflux though so she eats little bits but very frequently - it gets tiresome at times.

She's an awesome napper - she takes a 3+ hour nap every day (sure wish it was at the same time every day) and a couple of little cat naps as well. She only usually wakes once at night now, which is great! I'm getting more sleep now than I did when I was pregnant It took having 4, but I finally got one that likes to sleep!
