nephrotic syndrome vaccine related?

My 2 1/2 yo nephew was just diagnosed withed nephrotic syndrome, a disease that causes the kidneys to release protein into the urine and causes whole body swelling. My SIL mentioned that it could be vaccine related (he is fully vaccinated) and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this condition and it's relation to vaccines, and if so, which vaccine(s). I'm also wondering if any of you nutrition experts know of ways to treat this condition naturally/homeopathically. The doctors have put him on steroids. There is a very high chance he will have multiple relapses well into his teen years, so unless she finds an alternative treatment, he will be on steroids for much of his childhood.

Look through that one.

Without knowing the specific vaccines he recieved, it is a lot of information to go through to find.

I would have your sister call and get the batch numbers and cross-reference them with the VAERs site.

There have been 32 reports post vaccination, which is definitely not all the cases b/c of underreporting: http://www.medalerts.org/vaersdb/fin...O=1&PERPAGE=10

I have a related condition, IgA nephropathy, that often is associated with nephrotic syndrome. (I have constant proteinuria but not at nephrotic syndrome levels.) Supposedly, they don't know what causes it, but I have read that it has been induced in laboratory rats via the polio vaccine, which certainly has made me wonder...I was fully vaxed as a child:

I've been advised by my nephrologist to go on corticosteroids but I have refused. I do not like the sounds of the long term side effects and it sounds to me almost like a case of the cure being worse than the disease (at least for my situation; my health is perfectly fine except for this condition). I'm still waiting to see what the situation is with my lab levels after a recent experiment with my holistic MD, but one remedy I've been looking into is an herb called curcumin that is derived from curry. It is supposed to be a natural anti-inflammatory agent that mimics the action of steroids without the bad side effects. I have not yet used it myself but have read much good about it. That might be something for your SIL to research. I'd also advise her to take him to see a holistic ped of some sort if she has one nearby in order to find more ideas; one source is the holistic pediatric association (www.hpakids.org). I take my kids to an HPA member now and the difference between the current doc (who is in fact an MD) and a conventional ped is night and day. Being on steroids from such a young age sounds like such a bad situation. Good luck and I hope she's able to find something to address the problem.

Hi Sad Momma

Hi, I was in your exact position 4 years ago and I know some of what you are going through. I have just come on to something really terrific and I wanted to share it with you. I just read the book Diet for a new america and the China study.
These two books have convinced me that we needed to change my sons diet (and our families as well). Since the middle of March we have been eating a vegan diet and for the first time : in four years my son is off steriods! (Well, he is still on .1 mls but you know how little this is. One more week and he will be off it completely!) It is a big change to eat vegan but if you read these books you will be shocked! Of course, if eating vegan will save you from what my son, myself and our family has gone through these last four years I would say it would be totally worth it.
Good luck. And have faith.
Love,
Linds
