I made recycled wool shorties! Come see and tell me what you think?

I made shorties for the first time. I found a dirty, but beautiful wool sweater at a thrift shop that they were going to throw away, so I got it and made up some shorties. It needed to be washed first, but I was so excited and made them without washing Ill wash later.

I have this thing about when I make something it doesn't look good to me. If I make it I automatically think there is something bad wrong with it. I don't know why.

I messed up on the elastic and made the elastic spot big and wide, but it doesn't affect it at all.

Here they are, tell me what you think.

Can you try reposting the link? I tried to cut and paste into my browser but it didn't work.

REALLY want to see those shorties!

I cut and pasted, and those are cute! I got several sweaters over the weekend, but none as cute as that! Maybe I need to dig a little deeper.

They are so cute! I recently starting making those for my niece. I had some iron-on monograms that I hadn't used, so I made her one pair with monograms on the bum!

I could see them just fine, very cute.

They are very cute. And the wide casing - looks kind of like the current style with yoga pants, etc.

You said you didn't wash the sweater first...

Was it already felted? I hope so otherwise it's going to have to be felted in order to work. To felt you simple wash on Hot and dry on Hot 3 complete times. It shrinks quite a bit but this is how it gets the tight weave that keeps from leaking. HTH
