Well, here ya go...my simple spaces pics!

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/church...e92scd&.src=ph

I just did a bit of clean-up - made my bed and did the dishes! The bowls on the computer desk are from a snack of tortilla chips and cheese dip. Yum!

Let me know what ya think!

Explanation of the closet pics: the small one is the linen closet. The big closet is split in two. The portion on the left has a low clothes rod and shelves above. The other side has a head-height clothes rod, as well as regular "open" storage. This is my only closet, aside from the linen closet and the one in the veddy small back bedroom (the door to this bedroom is diagonal to the fridge and around the corner from where the kitchen table is - right by my entrance. It's empty right now. The landlord is putting in new carpet and fixing the windows/storms/screens. A college student from my church will be renting that room from me, beginning in the fall.

Tradd--your bed, in the sunlight, with the white coverlet, is perfect! Clean, simple and homey. And the rest of your tidy place is a real lesson in simplicity.

I am just now subbing. I love all the pictures. I'm going to post my own too.

here's one of our house

Rowdy, very nice. I like your couch. Are those alphabet learning pictures on the wall? I like that your kid's stuff is out in the open!

I just got the bookcase yesterday from a friend - I traded my bigger one to her for the small one.

I LOVE having less stuff. In the large side of the closet, there is a plastic storage tub with some things, a plastic shoebox full of sheet music (I sing at church), and a rolling suitcase with stuff stored in it - that's it aside from my dirty laundry, ironing board, cleaning supplies tote, and vacuum. I do have my long spring/winter coats hung up, as well as my dress-up pink suit.

Wow..you guys are an inspiration, so nice and clean...my cupboards do not look like yours Tradd- it's so neat.. Rowdy, love the alphabet pics and how you have everything laid out.

Lets see some more pictures!

Don't mind the walls, my place is being painted this weekend. The paint samples are on the wall, heh, you can see them in the second pic I think. The light blue will be the wall that the pictures on, the darker blue is for the kitchen. The other walls will be somewhat as they are now, more tan than pinkish though.

Its not bad.. I got rid of a ton of kitchen stuff. I'm going to get rid of the microwave, and I'd like to trade my large food processor for a mini one. I only use it for making hummus, so I dont need such a big one, and then I can put the little one in a cupboard. I'm getting my grandmothers hutch this fall, so it will take the place of that whole spice/microwave area, and clean everything up

The walls I am going to paint a darker blue, except the wall that the jars are on, as it is a main wall from living room to laundry area, it will be the same tan as the rest of the place. If you look in my living room pics there are paint samples on the wall. The lighter blue will be for just the wall with all my kids pics on it, and then then darker blue will be the kitchen.

Okay, here are some of my simple spaces. But not all of my spaces are simple. I can say without hesitation that my kitchen will never, ever show up on a thread like this.

But I am in awe of the ones I've seen here.

Ditto...I want your house.

Once I straighten up a bit (maybe tomorrow) I'll probably take some pics.

Okay.. Here's my pics but a few disclaimers first..
I'm looking for some tips! As you'll see, we don't have a ton of cabinet space.
We live in Israel so it's a bit different than houses in the States. You'll see.
And please, pretend that those hideous couches are the new ones that we're going to get one day (these were freebies and they're kinda awful).
Okay, enough disclaimers.. My house!

sunshinestarr your place looks great! Very simple and clean...Love the bookshelf at the bottom of the stairs, I really want one like that.

I think the couches look fine, I bet if you found some second hand white or cream sheets, you could cover those and it would bring out the woodwork in your room. (That's what I did when I had similar couches)

Thanks for sharing with us

Thanks! That bookshelf used to be where that little shelf between the two couches is.. We just did a major moving around of furniture. It's a lot more opened up now.
And thanks for the tips about the couches! That's a great idea! I don't like the coloured blankets that are one them now.
