Hemp knit terry as a diaper

Has anyone ever used hemp terry as body layers in a diaper? I'm trying to make some fitted diapers and I want to use snaps as a fastener but the first few I've made have flimsy wings that don't seem like they will be good for snaps. I only used two layers for the body since I made separate soakers. I was wondering if it would be better to use three layers or just reinforce the wings and front section with extra scraps in between. Any advice is appreciated. :

I would just reinforce the wings if you think it will be a problem. A scrap of flannel or other woven would be great, I think. You could use flannel as a hiddel layer in the whole diaper too. I like the stretchy factor though, makes for a trim fit.

You could also put snaps on scraps and test it. I've used snaps on thinner knit without reinforcing, they have held up fine.

Of course, flannel! Why didn't I think of that? And I've got tons of it! I think I'll try to just reinforce the crucial areas and see how that works. Thanks!
