How easily could you modify the dd aio pattern

I think at this point all I want are pockets. I've read over and over that the dd pattern is "the one". I dont have enough for both the pocket and aio pattern. The aio is said to have tons of instructions which I need as a brand new sewer. Do you think it would be easy to modify to a pocket?

I cannot answer your question directly as I, also a newbie sewer, only have the AIO pattern and I do not like pockets. That being said, Amber is REALLY, REALLY great about supporting you after you buy the pattern. She has helped me out a few times with questions- all within 24 hours. If you really want pockets, I would say go with that and if you have questions, email Amber. She is great.

Happy sewing!

Thank you for responding. I bought the fitted pocket. Do regular pockets have to be bigger then fitteds?

No, they don't need to be made any bigger. But you might not want to topstitch them if they're AIOs, to prevent wicking.

Davina thank you for the advice. I dont think I even know how to do what you said LOL.
I would love to talk to you about the pattern if you have time. My aim name is xxxxxxxxx

Edited: I took out my aim name.

I think it would be pretty easy to leave the front layers open and seperate so you could have a front loading pocket. Instead of sewing them together just stitch them closed seperatly.

I love my DD AIO pattern, the diapers are so easy and cute.
