Do you think I can grow lettuce in a container in San Diego with a North facing patio and not a lot of sun? I am new to the area, and I have no idea! We always had a huge garden growing up in MN, but I'm learning this all over again.

I would think so. In fact, that's probably the ultimate way to grow it in SD in the summer. Not that I'm from there, but I know how lettuce loves the cool weather. You could do spinach & radishes, too!
