Baby oh Baby... PLEASE hurry and get here!!

Anyone else dying to get this baby out of you? I'm SOOO tired of being pregnant!! And sadly I'm only dilated to 1/2cm. (as of Saturday) I want this baby to come more than anyone could ever image!! It's hot here... and I have no air... (broke once again) The babys room is just about ready... so come on little one... whatcha waiting for?

I keep talking to him... saying... all the other babies are coming out and meeting their mommy and daddy... so why dont you just come on out too??

Anyone know any really good ways to make yourself dilate more? I've heard squats but they just made my legs and butt hurt... and I've also heard riding down a bumpy road...

Suggestions and pitty are both welcome at this point... he he...

I know, its hard to wait... but first babies come, on average, 10 days after their "due date" so it may be a little while longer. Baby will come when baby is ready, it's actually signals from the baby's body that set off labor. The best thing I know of to get things ready is DTD. The natural prostagladins in semen help to soften and efface the cervix so that dilation can take place. Its also good to remember that dilation really doesn't mean much as far as when labor will start, so don't be discouraged!

Good Gawd, YES! I want this baby out! I'm one day past my "due date" -for what THAT's worth (which is nothing) & *I've* been done with this pregnancy for about 2 weeks now.

My son was 5 days past his due date, & it looks like this one will be, too. Since she hasn't come today, she *HAS* to wait until Friday night or Saturday to be born since Daddy has to be out of town/state for the next 3 days. I'm hoping she WON'T come on Sunday the 11th 'cos that's our anniversary & I really don't want to have my child's b'day on that date. We'll NEVER be able to celebrate "our" day ever again!

Sigh...we've tried DTD, spicy food, long walks (difficult since I can't really walk now), DS still nurses 1 or 2X a day... and nothing...On the bright side? I'm 1-2cm dilated & my body seems to be "practicing" for this one...but why I don't know since it's been thru labor before!:

true, too bad i am so not in the mood. i think i'm the only mama on here who wants absolutely nothing to do with sex when i am pregnant.

hang in there mama... my air is working but i live in high desert and am on 2 or 3 showers a day to keep cool--i can just spend so much on the electricity bill.

I told my mw today, now I understand why women schedule inductions!!! It's not my thing, but I get it. It is sooooo frustrating to have this baby take her time.

Come on out, babies!!!

Oh, you're soooo not the only one. Just ask my poor dh. I've had NO interest this entire pg, esp now that I'm so huge and miserable! I won't even do it for induction purposes, plump as I am its still not worth it! BUT, it can work, it did with dd.

Oh my husband is gonna love this! I haven't been in the mood lately because I've been so miserable... but now that I know it may start this labor... um... he's gonna get lucky tonight...

Hahahaha. We still have a couple weeks to go. It's hard to believe this is my 2nd because of how I am at the end of this pregnancy. I'm so ready for her! My husband keeps on reminding me that she'll be here soon. However, it's not the answer I enjoy hearing. I have figured out why the end is so hard for some of us though. If it wasn't would we really be welcoming labor? Seriously. Everyone we know laughs at me when I say.. Bring on the labor and birthing. I'm ready!

I know she'll come when she's ready to, and for the most part I try to stay calm about it but I'm so excited and can't wait to get rid of some of these discomforts I feel. I feel like I've been pregnant forever.

I forgot to add.. I've had to beg my husband (who is afraid of sex at this point! Laugh!) to have sex. I told him today. It's been a few weeks since we've had sex... Honestly sex is going to help me and babe not hurt us! So please, Do your part and I'll do mine! ROFL.

: you go mama! your husband is lucky! i know it and it still won't get my husband anything! my nipples are already sore and i look at him like he is crazy if he even tries to touch them. i told him to go get a turkey baster so i could get the sperm without the sex.

I know just how you feel :

He will come when he is ready but you can take Evening Primrose Oil to help thin your cervix.I take 2 every morning by mouth and one at night in my vag ina(way back on the cervix) Hang i nthere and you will holding your baby soon!

I've gotten to this miraculously calm state about the whole waiting thing. It's really weird, but I'm just trying to appreciate it because I was so frustrated a week ago. My edd is tomorrow, I am not dilated or having any sort of contractions, I am gi-normous, but I just feel like the baby isn't ready yet or it would be here. I'm hoping this calm state will continue right through labor and into the toddler years...
B52Bombshell, dh and my anniversary is the 12th, so I know what you mean. I was born the day after my parents' wedding anniversary, so I'm thinking the 13th for me.
DTD and walking have been staples in my life these past few days, too--even though they don't seem to be doing much, they feel healthy, so that's probably good for the baby.
HANG IN THERE EVERYBODY!!!

All in good time, mama. I know its hard to wait~ especially when its hot and you are uncomfortable (this coming from a mama w/ 3 summer babies and another on the way) but your little boy will be in your arms before you know it and this time will be a mere blur in your memory. Go for a walk, take a bath, make love, keep talking to your son...he'll be here soon...promise!
