So, I have this wonderful little wild flower (weed) growing next to my front porch. I can't identify it - can you take a look and give me your expert opinion??

Mostly, I like it so well I'd like to encourage it to reproduce.

TIA for your help!

i can't remember the technical term, we call it "that purple weed"

if you leave it, it will spread nicely on it's own.

Nope, sorry. Don't know. It is a pretty color though.

Try bringing that pic to your extention center or master gardener program. Someone there'll know what it is. It IS a pretty flower!

I suppose it depends on where you are......if you were around here---that'd be my guess---I'm in New England.

It's also know as bluebell or bell flower.

Well, I'm in Wisconsin, but it's not a bell flower that I've ever seen.... off to look up bluebell.
